You can just tell when an animator absolutely loves drawing - a quality that has gotten increasingly undervalued in our medium, and something Quinn has always managed to pull off in spades.
First Bradbury L I’ve ever seen
Ray Bradbury initially wrote The Halloween Tree with Chuck Jones in 1967 because he was disappointed in It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and buddy, Linus being disappointed because he’s deluded himself is the entire freaking point of the Great Pumpkin bit

ALT I thought the Great Pumpkin was just dreadful. So mean. It was dreadfully mean, to anticipate the 'Great Pumpkin' arriving for a half hour and when it was over my kids sat there, and they were depressed. And so was I. I thought it was dreadful of Mr. Schulz not to know that you can't build up this kind of need in people to see the Great Pumpkin, and not have him show up one way or another. It's a shame. I thought he knew better.
Back in the summer I was asked to submit a comic for ToughPigs’ recent revival of MuppetZine. Those who went to the big Henson weekend in New York have seen it in black & white, now here it is in full color!
Yet another Sesame Street cap I helped to illustrate for Overlord Caps dropped a few days ago! The Muppet hats were already a joy, but as a lover of Sesame Street’s old animations, I was really tickled to have the chance to play with the iconic Alligator King!

Chuck Jones is a fascinating director because with the same mind that he formed some of the greatest cartoons ever made, he also made some of the most obnoxiously pretentious and/or abysmally tedious shorts Warner has to offer. All of these are the same dude!!
I feel kinda conflicted—I don’t think either is “perfect,” per se. The DVD transfers blur and obscure a lot of finer details, but the digital cuts tend to deafen the colors and lower the contrasts, which also pulls the visual focus off the characters. Pick your poison, I guess.
The Disney renaissance movies used to look different. They were planned to be printed on 35 mm film -- that's how they were first released.
Modern editions skip that last step in the process. It was a highly developed, overlooked craft, as we explore:

What makes this hard to answer is people in modern media discourse like to pretend that a designated audience means it’s only for that audience, which is simply not true many times. Sesame Street’s for kids but it was originally designed to also entertain their parents.
Hey! So I wanted to ask anyone who's a fan of Looney Tunes, would you say the franchise is aimed more at Kids or Adults? For me personally, although It's aimed for families now I've always saw LT being just for adults especially for the original classic era.

Amazing Tic Tac commercial from 1976, by the great Richard Williams (of WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT fame).

No edit competes with the sheer hilarity of the original clip.
Even when their budgets decreased, the talented crew at Termite Terrace found ways to make their cartoons laugh-out-loud funny.
THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW is one of my favorite Disney shorts on the sheer metric that it’s sorta the one cartoon they ever made where the characters are bad people in a laughable Looney Tunes-y way where there’s no correction or imposed righteousness.
