The Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) team at the Pakistan Digital Authority (PDA) conducted a WASL Technical Onboarding Workshop with @PTAofficialpk at PTA Headquarters. The workshop was a key step towards integrating PTA with WASL, Pakistan’s National Data Exchange Layer, as part of PDA’s ongoing work to bring critical organisations onto the exchange layer.
WASL enables government institutions to exchange data securely while maintaining institutional ownership and control. Its federated, data-blind architecture is designed to ensure that data remains under the custody of the institution responsible for it, while the central exchange layer facilitates encrypted data exchange without retaining the exchanged data.
We thank the PTA team for their active participation and constructive engagement during the session. Every institution that joins WASL is one less silo for citizens and businesses to work around. We look forward to progressing towards PTA’s onboarding and integration with WASL.
