Barstool River North Quietly Closes Its Doors.
Another River North bar appears to have slipped away without much warning.
Barstool River North has reportedly permanently closed, according to venue listings marking the end of its run in one of Chicago’s busiest nightlife corridors.
The sports bar originally opened in early 2022, bringing the nationally recognized Barstool brand into the Hubbard Street scene.
But now, with little public communication and social pages appearing wiped or rebranded, the closure feels more like a quiet exit than a farewell.
No official statement has surfaced yet explaining the shutdown or what may replace the space.
