Israel has existed for 80 years. It's weird that we still consider modern Zionism as the original definition of the “right to self determination in our homeland”. It already exists.
Ben Shapiro put it well. Modern Zionism is the belief that Israel should not be exterminated. This definition is not only more accurate for this day and age, but it also shows clearly how antizionism is inherently a hate movement.

It’s what we always say and always know. When politics polarizes, the Jews are blamed. It’s a very old story, this one.
New low for normalized Jew-hate in the American Democratic Party. Very sad:
Painting your political opponents as puppets of Jews, as this El-Sayed ad does, and as crazed baby-killers and money-grubbing villains who are the root cause of every bad thing not just in the world, but in your life—from wars to the price of eggs to the reason you can’t have free healthcare—is not just low-grade Jew-hate. It’s pure Third Reich stuff, translated directly from the original German.
Do you remember when Jewish Democrats in Michigan explained that they would vote for El-Sayed despite his open disdain for Jews, since there are many other important issues they need him to fight for? That anything was worth it to “defeat MAGA”?
Well, here’s El-Sayed’s answer to them: Don’t worry, all those issues we agree on, like healthcare, inflation, and climate change, I’m going to make them about Jews too! I will tell the public that the Jews are the reason they can’t have those things.
A study of 2,256 mostly college-educated and somewhat left-leaning adults demonstrates that antizionist attitudes overlap with traditional Judeophobic antisemitism, hostility toward Israeli civilians, racialized moral judgments, and double standards.

The BBC has agreed to pay £400,000 to an award-winning Jewish documentary-maker who alleged she was subjected to antisemitism and pushed out of the corporation after October 7.
Lucie Kon, 57, spent 22 years at the BBC and worked on programmes including Panorama, Today, BBC Breakfast and Storyville. Films she commissioned or helped produce won an Oscar, Emmy and Bafta.
Kon says her treatment changed dramatically after the Hamas attacks. She alleges colleagues described Zionists like her as “evil”, argued that Israel should be called terrorist if Hamas was, and told her to consider what had driven Hamas to carry out the massacre.
When she proposed a documentary about October 7, Kon says she was told she was “too partial” to oversee it because she was Jewish.
She subsequently filed a formal grievance, but a BBC investigation rejected her complaint. Kon says she was then kept away from work for months. During a restructuring, her position was made redundant and she failed to secure the similar role replacing it.
She launched unfair-dismissal proceedings.
The BBC has now agreed substantial compensation, reported as £400,000, without admitting liability or accepting that Kon suffered antisemitism.
Kon says Jewish employees still at the corporation continue to face hostility and feel unable to identify openly as Jewish or Zionist.
Probably the only thing I semi agree with the paddystinians is that I'm against sending our troops into Lebanon.
Although peace enforcement could be much more effective than just sitting around watching Hezbollah do whatever it wants, it will put our troops in danger.
Hezbollah is an Iranian army who has taken over Lebanon. Lebanese people are rightly very scared of civil war, and Hezbollah takes advantage of that fact by not abiding to the deal they made to demilitarize.
I hope it never comes to it, but if Lebanon breaks out into civil war, it is firmly the fault of Hezbollah and Iran.
Irish troops should be deployed to Lebanon as part of a new EU mission and be involved in both peacekeeping and peace enforcement duties, according to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Defence Helen McEntee.

Allianz should sue. For too long the self appointed pro Palestinian political activists have believed there are no consequences for their false claims, hate fuelled targeting of companies, businesses and individuals and they have impunity. e-pages.dk/irishtimes/51622/…
We must unite the two ends of the horseshoe because tadhg is both far right but also far left.
Not only does he want to fuck you up economically, but he also wants to fuck you up morally too.

When we talk about antizionism in Ireland, we must speak about the cruel bullying and intimidation tactics used by "pro-Palestinian" activists to silence debate and to force conformity
Fortunately, more people, both in Ireland and around the world, are noticing how these activists operate; namely, not as principled humanitarians, but as a bigoted, provincial mob of angry pitchfork-wielding peasants
All it takes is a few courageous people to look the antizionist mob straight in the eyes and say: NO

John Banville on the role of artists in public discourse in today's Sunday Independent.
Has he been on RTE's late late show recently?
Brilliant article! @TConlonthecouch
As @TConlonthecouch rightly asks in this excellent article, why did the women’s wheelchair basketball team of Muslim Turkey feel they could shake the hands of their Israeli counterparts, and our team could not? independent.ie/sport/tommy-c…

Pretty much what I’ve said from day 1!!
We don’t have a far right here in Ireland. If you know what the far right actually are, you’d know that
Spread by the actual far left here to justify their stance, these are the people that are toxic. With their ideologies, how they attack people in work, dividing everyone and everything. These people are the ones that try to bring chaos to society every single day
But they’ve lost
For all the hand wringing about the ‘far right’, it turns out the far left is a real danger to society. This week’s @Independent_ie column

Ireland wholeheartedly embracing Jew-hate is one thing. That they’re doing so because of an inversion of historical knowledge is insane.
"Irish resistance movement" 🤣🤣🤣
Replying to @danielthemate @travelingisrae1
Israeli Zionists are clearly deeply threatened by the Irish resistance movement. Sadly for them, the opposition to their murder is global and not just little Ireland, but it's flattering to know we're making an impact here.
