15 years ago today, the epic @pitchowners SGM where the club's attempt to buy back the Stamford Bridge freehold was defeated by CPO shareholders at a highly charged meeting.
Those supporters who were there are unlikely to forget it

#Serbia's Aleksandar Vučić has acknowledged defeat. After years of dominating Serbian politics, he is facing a loss to the student movement born out of protests against corruption. No final results available. People are already gathering on the streets.

Vučić has conceded defeat to Serbia’s student-led protest movement in the parliamentary elections 🇷🇸
I’m so happy for Serbians! Your courage and determination have long been an inspiration to all of us.
So well deserved. Just wow! 👏

A large turnout tonight in Tbilisi, Georgia. Day 697 of daily, uninterrupted protests. The week Georgia's Constitutional Court began hearings to ban the opposition.

If a right wing commentator posted a 16-tweet thread trying to dismiss and undermine an official report into any other type of racism, Owen Jones would be the first to call them racist. But when it comes to antisemitism, he is first in line with the 'debunking'. What a hypocrite.

The fact this is an open letter calling for the government to reverse a decision which was in fact made by Sally Rooney to stop selling her own books is only exceeded in absurdity by the fact the New Statesman also compares her to Salman Rushdie. Ludicrous.
OPEN LETTER: Sally Rooney is a writer, not a terrorist. Her books must be available to the public. Their withdrawal from sale, on the basis of ill-conceived and draconian anti terror legislation, is an affront to basic principles of free speech and expression so long taken for granted in this country. We categorically reject censorship - whether direct or indirect - and urge the government to change course, amending the legislation which has led us to this point of repressive absurdity.

I’ve seen a lot of abhorrent things on this app, but the immediate dismissal and ridicule by the British Left of a forthcoming government report on antisemitism towards Jewish children is just appalling. I naïvely thought that, when it came to children specifically, the usual suspects would be more empathetic (or at least more cautious), but alas. The abject cruelty is profoundly disturbing.
Ironically, of course, they make the case for Zionism better than any Zionist ever could. Herzl is vindicated time and time and time again.

If you've reached the point in British politics where you're standing with RT regular & Assad defender Broseph Stalin over a deeply racist motion & declaring Shami Chakrabarti & Caroline Lucas to be Zionist traitors, you are mentally unwell & have been radicalised to insanity.

Very well said from @Jo_Coburn
‘I am a Zionist and the ‘Zionism is racism’ motion is antisemitism.’

‘We are a racist party. Deal with it.’
I’m getting tired of the smears by the liberal chattering classes. The Green Party voted to make our party an anti-Zionist party by the largest mandate in our party’s history. It won the straw poll in the days leading up to the conference by the largest margin, had 11 times as many co-sponsors as any policy in the history of the Green Party, and came first in the prioritisation ballot. This was popular at every stage.
It’s our party’s policy now. Get over it.

As one of those Jewish journalists at Cable Street – watching people cover their faces to surveil and denounce us – thank you to Janice for covering this so blisteringly...
Neither Israel nor Cable Street… what do Greens & other Palestine flag-wavers want from British Jews? My @thetimes column

Very concerning that Greens Haringey council leader Mark Blake has said he supports the ‘core principles of the [Zionism is racism] policy’ saying ‘no state should be established on the idea that one religion is superior to another.’
That is not what Zionism is.
Zionism is simply a belief in a Jewish state on our ancestral homeland. Almost 25 per cent of Israelis are not Jewish and they have equal rights.
Compare that to actual ethnostates.
Blake adds that he voted against the motion because: ‘I don’t feel comfortable with British political parties or politicians deciding on behalf of Israelis and Palestinians what the solutions should be.’
Blake is a hard left former Corbynite, one of many entryists into the Greens who is now running a huge council.

We all remember where we were as the news broke; how we felt as footage of those indescribable events emerged; the horror as things became clearer.
Murder, sexual violence, kidnapping.
We remember the victims and their families and honour them today and every day.

Three years ago today, people were butchered and tortured in their homes. Taken hostage. Raped, alive and dead. Burned, alive and dead.
And today, three years to the day, there are people on the streets of London marching in celebration and support of those attacks.
Shameful.
Jewish man physically attacked just now, by neo-Nazis on the streets of Holborn & St Pancras.
They were trying to spray paint a stencil calling @Sagal_AW a 'puppet of genocidal Israel' and I objected.
This is what @ZackPolanski @TheGreenParty thugs stand for.
@metpoliceuk
3. How do I know this attack was antisemitic? I objected to their blood libel and called them neo-Nazis. They then attacked. The Greens have undertaken to attack Zionism / Zionists 'by all means necessary'. I was attacked for objecting to the deligitimisation of Jewish statehood.
