YouTube had 65k daily uploads when Google announced its $1.65B acquisition in 2006 Content Rewards had 61,775 submissions yesterday A lot more of your feed is going to run through us
It’s all about clips. I see it at Beast Industries where I’m on the board. I see it with All In where I am on the show. I think people don’t understand that content preferences will evolve around this time constraint. It’s already come for movies. It will come for sports next.

Watching the first internet company I really fucked with go from a few hundred million to over $5B makes it pretty clear that the internet kids win That culture has shaped what we're building at Content Rewards. We went from paying 0 people at the beginning of this year to over 36,000 in September all on Whop’s rails We share the same mission: creating new ways for people to earn money on the internet I believe we’re on pace to be the first company to go from 0 to unicorn on Whop There’s never been a better time to build a business
Whop has raised $200M in Series D funding at a $5.1B valuation, backed by @sequoia and @shopify. It really feels like we are barely touching the tip of the iceberg in a market larger than anyone can imagine. We first launched Whop as a better way for us to sell sneaker bots, one of the most niche types of desktop software out there. Total TAM? Probably $20,000 per day. Who cares, tiny market. But, what people discounted is the idea that there were actually 70,000 other markets exactly like that one. Beyond the investment itself, I am especially excited to welcome legendary silicon valley investor @dougleone to our board of directors. Doug and the sequoia team are nothing but a brilliant, resourceful, and principled group of people. My co-founder Cameron and I started building on Shopify when we were 13 years old. Shopify is one of the most impactful all-in-one cloud ecosystems ever created; @tobi has pioneered modern entrepreneurship the way we know it and we are thrilled to have him in our corner. We have a tenet at Whop to be the dumbest in the room and I am very grateful that this has recently become a lot easier. We are focused on markets, scale economies, and progressive media. If that is up your alley, please message me directly. The $200M raised will support our expansion as we build economic infrastructure for the next century, continuing on our mission of delivering everyone an income.

This is what I wanna see more of on Content Rewards People using clipping, seeing it work, then building businesses around it themselves Lacy’s now a co-owner of Reach after seeing what it did for his own content Welcome @LacyHimself
Lacy reveals he is now a part-owner of Reach Clipping, the clipping agency co-owned by Clix - The two continue to expand their joint business ventures alongside their successful careers in streaming and content creation.

At 14 I got 1 million subscribers on YouTube in 6 months At 15 I dropped out of high school after making $500k a month on Snapchat At 16 I bootstrapped my first software company to $7 million its first year (0 paid ads) I now run the biggest organic marketing platform on earth Marketers win
the next wave of founders will all be marketers it's easier for a creative to learn to build than for an engineer to learn how to generate attention building keeps getting easier and marketing keeps getting harder
