All of the AI launches recently are for companies: "replace employees with agents" and "reduce headcount by 25% because of AI". That's why I'm amped to show off work coach's latest feature: a coach that observes your meetings to help you get better. Built for you, not for your company. You don't need another meeting transcriber, you need something giving you the straight honest feedback that will help you. Whether you're interviewing for a role, onboarding at a new company, or trying to show off your leadership skills, you need someone in your corner helping you get better. Thanks @Remotion for making this INSANELY easy to make.

I've been completely Jev pilled by @typesafeai. I wrote about how I rebuilt my app with it and how I under estimated it. Great job @CompleteSkeptic
How I became obsessed with Jev and the point I think everyone is missing in using decision models.

When I say what I’m working on, people say “are you allowed to do that?” It’s a fair question. I talk about how my new company, Work Coach, observes you in important meetings (interviews, 1:1s with your manager, team syncs, presentations) to give you feedback so you can get better. It also lets you practice situations, it’s the fastest way to improve. You should always get consent when recording a meeting, but here’s how to ask: “do you mind if i transcribe this meeting, just for my personal use? I have a tool that analyzes me to identify what I can do better.” People ask “are companies going to allow this?” and I say of course they will. Anthropic in their interviewing guide encourages use of AI just like this. They don’t want you to “cheat” to get answers during an interview, but instead to reflect on how you’re presenting yourself (cover letters, resume, etc). I think in the not too distant future it’ll be a negative signal if a candidate doesn’t ask for permission to use something like work coach. Companies want to hire people who have a growth mindset, own their own progression, and are constantly working to get better.

You bombed your interview and nobody told you why. Your answers were fine. Your delivery was the problem. The worst part? Recruiters and hiring managers are never going to tell you this. But you can't fix what you can't see. That's why I built Work Coach. It observes your interviews, gives you tactical feedback, helps you practice, and tracks your improvement over time. Try it at work.coach

It all makes sense once you realize that ChatGPT hasn't updated its chrome extension since DECEMBER 2024. What?!?!? chromewebstore.google.com/de…

You don't need another AI note taker. You need the honest truth about how you can improve. So excited to see this live
Today's meeting tools give you a transcript, but nobody tells you how you did. I'm so excited to announce Work Coach (a new mac meetings app). Work Coach helps you by: - Observing you in meetings (interviews, 1:1s, sales calls, team meetings) - Analyzing how you show up to those meetings - Identifying opportunities to improve - Replaying the exact moments from your meetings where it happened - Role play conversations (intros in an interview, asking for a raise, etc) - Interviewing your coworkers to get feedback that you're not getting I'll put the download link below.

Such a strong idea. Meetings already get recorded, now you can actually learn from them.

If you've ever been curious about work with a career coach, check out Work Coach. Dan has been working hard on building a tool valuable for anyone interviewing, struggling to get feedback, and feeling limited growth. Curious to see what blind spots you uncover!

BREAKING: WHOOP RAISES $575M AT $10.1B VALUATION  I am pleased to announce that we’ve raised $575M at a $10.1B valuation to accelerate our mission of unlocking human performance and healthspan globally. This round was led by Collaborative Fund with participation from 2PointZero Group, Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), Mubadala Investment Company, Abbott, Mayo Clinic, Macquarie Capital, Glade Brook, B-Flexion, IVP, Foundry, Accomplice, Affinity Partners, Promus Ventures, and Bullhound Capital alongside a group of individual investors including Cristiano Ronaldo, LeBron James, Rory McIlroy, Virgil van Dijk, and Mathieu van der Poel. This investor group and this moment reflect a powerful evolution underway for Whoop and the broader healthcare market. Whoop was born in performance - trusted by the best athletes in the world to train, recover, and compete at the highest level. That foundation remains core to who we are. You see that in the iconic athlete investors joining this round.  But it also represents our push into broader health.  In the past 12 months, WHOOP has received medical clearances, launched blood testing, and created a platform that has saved lives. Abbott and Mayo Clinic - two of the most respected and influential institutions in global healthcare - are now investors in Whoop. These are organizations that have shaped modern medicine. Their decision to partner with us is a clear validation of where our technology is headed. Healthcare systems around the world are reactive. For too long, they have waited for people to get sick, then intervene. Chronic disease is rising and costs continue to climb. At Whoop, we believe the future looks fundamentally different. We are building the most powerful, personal, preventive health platform in the world - powered by continuous biometric data, advanced analytics, and AI to help people understand their bodies and improve their health in real time. I am grateful to our team, our members, and our partners for believing in this vision. I’ve been building this company for 14 years and I’ve never been more excited for the future.

What if Granola and @lennysan had a baby? That's what I built into Work Coach. World class insights personalized and delivered when most helpful.
Today I'm releasing my entire newsletter archive (350+ posts) and all podcast transcripts (300+ episodes) as AI-friendly Markdown files. Plus an MCP server and GitHub repo. A few months ago I shared my podcast transcripts on a whim, and y'all built the most amazing things—an RPG game, a parenting wisdom site, infographics, a Twitter bot, and 50+ other projects. Let's see what happens when I give you even more data. Grab the data here: LennysData.com. Paid subscribers get all of the data (some 350 posts and 300 transcripts). Free subscribers get a subset. I don’t think anyone’s ever done anything like this before, and I’m excited to give you this excuse to play with that AI tool you've been meaning to try. Here’s my challenge to you: build something, and let me know about it. I’ll pick my favorite and give you a free 1-year subscription to the newsletter. Just post a link to your project in the comments here: lennysnewsletter.com/p/how-i…. If you’ve already built something, slurp in this new data and submit it, too. I’ll pick a winner on April 15th. Check out today's newsletter post for inspiration on what you could to build: lennysnewsletter.com/p/how-i… LFG.

New feature in work coach: roleplay. Perfect for anyone interviewing for a role. It observes from your real interviews how you can improve. It then gives you a place to practice improving and measure your improvement over time.

What a time to be building things. The explosion of new things, and the quality bar are going up.
It is hard to communicate how much programming has changed due to AI in the last 2 months: not gradually and over time in the "progress as usual" way, but specifically this last December. There are a number of asterisks but imo coding agents basically didn’t work before December and basically work since - the models have significantly higher quality, long-term coherence and tenacity and they can power through large and long tasks, well past enough that it is extremely disruptive to the default programming workflow. Just to give an example, over the weekend I was building a local video analysis dashboard for the cameras of my home so I wrote: “Here is the local IP and username/password of my DGX Spark. Log in, set up ssh keys, set up vLLM, download and bench Qwen3-VL, set up a server endpoint to inference videos, a basic web ui dashboard, test everything, set it up with systemd, record memory notes for yourself and write up a markdown report for me”. The agent went off for ~30 minutes, ran into multiple issues, researched solutions online, resolved them one by one, wrote the code, tested it, debugged it, set up the services, and came back with the report and it was just done. I didn’t touch anything. All of this could easily have been a weekend project just 3 months ago but today it’s something you kick off and forget about for 30 minutes. As a result, programming is becoming unrecognizable. You’re not typing computer code into an editor like the way things were since computers were invented, that era is over. You're spinning up AI agents, giving them tasks *in English* and managing and reviewing their work in parallel. The biggest prize is in figuring out how you can keep ascending the layers of abstraction to set up long-running orchestrator Claws with all of the right tools, memory and instructions that productively manage multiple parallel Code instances for you. The leverage achievable via top tier "agentic engineering" feels very high right now. It’s not perfect, it needs high-level direction, judgement, taste, oversight, iteration and hints and ideas. It works a lot better in some scenarios than others (e.g. especially for tasks that are well-specified and where you can verify/test functionality). The key is to build intuition to decompose the task just right to hand off the parts that work and help out around the edges. But imo, this is nowhere near "business as usual" time in software.
