Another with zero sources but people want to believe it.
Understand one of the main reasons #MUFC have decided to keep Michael Carrick is due to financial reasons. Sir Jim Ratcliffe made the final decision after talks involving Glazers, Berrada & Wilcox. Carrick could have #CFC, #Roma & #AVFC games. @UtdDistrict roundtable.io/sports/soccer/…

The #Stopthegame protesters are perhaps the most dimwitted and egotistical protest movement that this country has ever had the misfortune to endure.
They are trying to bully Irish internationals into not playing for their country.
Stopping the game will not save or even improve one palestinian life but it will help the israeli regime who will use it as propaganda and it may help them advance in the nations league.
The game must go ahead because we can never allow these bullies who seem to have a stranglehold over our media and the unions to win. I hope people do not succumb to this group of idiots.

Dear Manchester United fans, take a deep breath and understand the size of the mess INEOS inherited.
You cannot spend more than a decade making bad football decisions.
Then expect one new football structure to fix everything in 18–24 months.
That’s not how rebuilding works.
INEOS didn’t inherit a successful machine that needed one or two upgrades.
They inherited a club with years of:
• poor recruitment
• inflated transfer fees
• ridiculous wages
• players difficult to sell
• an unbalanced squad
• financial pressure
• ageing infrastructure
• constant managerial instability
This wasn’t a renovation.
It was structural repair.
Think about the players Manchester United bought before INEOS.
Huge fees were paid.
Huge wages were handed out.
And when things went wrong?
Nobody wanted to buy the players.
That is the hidden damage of bad recruitment.
Buying a player is easy.
Getting rid of the wrong player is sometimes even harder.
This is why you need to stop shouting:
“Why haven’t INEOS fixed everything?”
Because every bad contract has an expiry date.
Every unwanted player needs a buyer.
Every weak position cannot be filled in one window.
And financial rules don’t disappear because you’re Manchester United.
The club has to clean the mess while still competing.
INEOS have also made mistakes.
Supporting INEOS doesn’t mean pretending they’re perfect.
It means understanding the difference between mistakes and an impossible rebuilding job.
Look at the scale of the job.
Manchester United needed to improve recruitment.
Restructure football operations.
Reduce unnecessary costs.
Fix the wage structure.
Improve Carrington.
Deal with Old Trafford’s future.
Build a balanced squad.
And compete with clubs that have had stable football structures for years.
How exactly was all that supposed to be completed in under two years?
The biggest problem with Manchester United fans is impatience.
You all want a rebuild.
But you don't want the rebuilding process.
You want:
New owners today.
Perfect squad tomorrow.
Premier League trophy next week.
But what you don't know is Manchester United’s problems were created over many years.
You cannot undo ten years of bad decisions in two transfer windows.
And here’s what I actually like about the current approach:
Manchester United are becoming more willing to walk away from bad deals.
That is important.
The old United saw a player, fell in love with the name and allowed clubs to dictate the price.
A serious football club must sometimes say:
“He’s good, but not at that price.”
That’s how you stop repeating old mistakes.
Stop behaving as though INEOS inherited Manchester City and deliberately destroyed it.
They inherited years of expensive mistakes.
Cleaning those mistakes takes time.
And patience is not the same thing as accepting mediocrity.
Dear Manchester United fans, back the rebuild.
Judge INEOS over the direction of the club.
Are recruitment decisions becoming smarter?
Is the wage structure improving?
Is the squad becoming more balanced?
Are the facilities improving?
Is there finally a football structure?
Those are the questions that matter.
Rome wasn’t rebuilt in two years.
And neither will Manchester United be.
The Baleba and Tielemans signings were not suggested by any 'in the knows' on here or by journalists. Best not believing everything you read on twitter as truth and losing your 💩. Worth questioning whether your favourite twitter accounts have 'sources'. Ornstein is the man!
Big potential here. Fair play to Ineos for their negotiating. 120m last year or 60m this year. Baleba clearly wanted this.
Hopefully all the whinging stops now. Three brilliant midfield signings. Plenty of time left in the market too.
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Manchester United closing in on deal to sign Carlos Baleba from Brighton & Hove Albion. #MUFC offer for 22yo Cameroon midfielder ~£60+5m; below #BHAFC valuation but amicable talks continue as all parties work to reach agreement @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/7243081…
No premier league suitors here. Championship is his level. What are the club to do if the best club that are interested in him is Middlesbrough. Buyback and sell on clause make it a good deal for an academy player.
Radek Vitek is close to joining Middlesbrough in a permanent transfer.
Advanced talks include buyback + sell-on clause for Manchester United. #MUFC

How are people still believing that this guy is real?!
🚨 Man Utd are planning to put forward an offer for Carlos Baleba this week.
I understand it’s in the region of £85m guaranteed with around £15m addons.
Work to be done over the structure but this presents a £100m package, with the player also showing his desire for the move presents a very good offer that the club feel is more than fair.
This offer is in region that will be considered by Brighton and could be enough to get the agreement.

Similar to the new stadium announcement, not a Glazer to be seen. It's only a matter of time before Ineos get a majority shareholding.
Any chance here, I wonder? Cost spread over a 6 year contract would help massively.
🚨 Man Utd contact Brighton via intermediaries to explore conditions of deal for Carlos Baleba. #BHAFC do not plan to sell this summer & all sides aware move may be unrealistic. But #MUFC keen + should know in coming days if plausible or not @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/6524982…
I think this has had the opposite effect and made people realise that Ineos aren't the enemy here.
🗣️TODAYS PRESS STATEMENT IN FULL.
‘Jim Can’t Fix This’: United Fan Group To Target Ratcliffe
In New Wave of Glazer Protests
Influential fan group, The 1958, has announced a big new protest ahead of Manchester United’s opening game of the season - for the first time directed at part owner Jim Ratcliffe, as well as the hated Glazers.
Supporters are being rallied ahead of the Arsenal clash at Old Trafford on August 17th, with a new route planned and new banners produced including ‘Jim Can’t Fix This’. Ratcliffe has been branded ‘a devil in disguise’.
It's a new season but the same old ownership issues. Twenty years of the Glazers is 20 years too long. Enough is enough.
We won’t allow some natural optimism and a couple of shiny new signings to deflect from the bigger off-field picture. Jim Ratcliffe chose to get into bed with the Glazers and is helping keep them in charge.
So, on 17th August, we protest not just against the Glazers, but now also against Jim Ratcliffe – a man once seen by many, including ourselves, as a possible saviour, a beacon of hope but now revealed as complicit in the ongoing erosion of everything that makes our club what it is. This is no longer just about ownership; this is about survival – the survival of our identity, our community, and our values.
Disneyland of the North
The systematic eviction of long-standing fans from the South Stand - some who have held seats there for generations - is not just a policy decision, it's an attack on the very soul of Manchester United. These are the people who help build the atmosphere, the tradition, the heartbeat of the club. To cast them aside in favour of sanitised profits and premium experiences is nothing short of disgraceful.
The dilution of younger supporters, the austerity imposed on loyal club staff, and the push to create a “Disneyland of the North” show exactly where their priorities lie - not with the fans, not with the community, but with shareholders, executives, and a global brand that strips the club of its roots.
Let it be clear: this vision is not for us. It is not for the fans who travel up and down the country and across Europe. It is not for those who’ve stood in the same spot at Old Trafford for decades. It is for profit - pure and simple. The burden of this greed is being forced onto generational fans, who are being priced out, pushed out, and ignored.
Football is consuming itself. What’s happening at Manchester United is a warning to every other club - a calculated attempt to Americanise and franchise the game we love. If this continues, the sport will be left hollow, a commercial product with no soul.
Using our club to apparently “sound opinion” on the reaction to Personal Seat Licenses (PSL) is another alarm bell. This would further price out the youth, local communities, and generations of loyal fans. It’s another step in ripping football away from its working-class roots, showing just how out of touch our club and owners have become. This isn’t about the game or the supporters - it’s about profit and greed over loyalty and tradition.
No Saviour
We don’t believe a word the club say, as actions speak louder than words and their actions prove their intentions. We will not be silent. We will not be complicit. Jim Ratcliffe, you have chosen your side and it is not ours. You now stand shoulder to shoulder with the Glazers. The mask has slipped. You are no saviour. You’re a devil in disguise.
We protest for every fan who has been silenced, evicted, priced out, and disregarded. This is bigger than one club. This is about the future of football. To those in our fanbase if the penny hasn’t dropped yet. Wake up.
To fans of other clubs if you’re starting to see the similar measures being trialled at your club by your owners. You’re next.
Remember this: You will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.
What’s being lost isn’t just about seats or structures - it’s about identity, community, and the moments that make football worth everything. Once that’s gone it will be lost forever.
More details to follow in the coming days.
The 1958 🇾🇪
They have a list of targets, this is not a recent consideration.
Just another tweet for clicks.
🚨 Manchester United are seriously considering to add one more midfielder to the squad, in case of good opportunity.
Understand internal talks also focused on new signing in midfield, not only striker and GK.
