Air purifier companies, please STOP reaching out to me. I work in public policy to make clean air a reality, not a luxury. My ambition is a world where air purifiers are obsolete. I cannot endorse a calamity-fuelled, overpriced fan-and-filter apparatus masquerading as a solution.

There’s bound to be some tamasha when this book comes out. After all, others have spent decades telling my “story”, now it’s my turn.

India is a zero-trust society
🚨SHOCKING - FIR against Malabar:
A man walked into a Malabar Gold showroom in Bilaspur with a simple request: exchange his old 22-carat HUID-hallmarked bracelet.
The staff ran it through their XRF machine. Once. Twice. Three times.
Every reading came back the same: 20 carat.
They even told him the hallmark didn’t exist.
He called the local jeweller who had sold him the bracelet. The jeweller walked in, confirmed the HUID, and asked them to test it again.
Same machine. Same bracelet. Same room.
This time an employee adjusted something on the machine. Suddenly the reading flipped to 916 - pure 22 carat.
The jeweller recorded everything. The Sarafa Association arrived. Police registered an FIR against the showroom manager and the machine operator. The machine and DVR were seized.
This wasn’t a small local shop. This was Malabar Gold “the chain that advertises trust, purity, and BIS standards across India”.
One bracelet. Two readings. An 8% gap in gold value. And the only thing that changed was who was watching.
If a hallmarked piece can magically lose two carats the moment a customer wants to exchange it, and magically regain them the moment someone pushes back, what exactly is the machine testing?
Customers don’t walk into Malabar expecting a calibration error that only appears when they’re selling gold.
They walk in expecting the purity printed on their receipt.
The FIR is real.
The readings are on record.
The machine was seized.
Malabar still hasn’t explained why the same piece of gold needed a “setting” before it became 22 carat again.
Until they do, this isn’t a machine glitch.
It’s a business model.

It’s deeply disrespectful to us Brazilians, who spent 20 days mobilizing across the country, standing up to Big Tech and imperialist forces, to credit our victory as a nation to an American billionaire who said absolutely nothing about our elections. Delete this shit, @Variety.

Drunk dial your ex at 1 AM but never buy an under construction property
The worst investment I did is buying a property of Godrej- big brand bigger, bigger fraud.
Bought a property in 2023, they told we will get possession in 2026 mid, forget the possession, they are telling they want to add additional floors and that too 8-9 floors, without adding any extra plot to the project.
From past 3 months the CRMs has bullied, disturbed, bribed and what not for us to sign the consent form to modify the RERA, as a person who works a full time job, this kind of harassment takes a toll on mental health, as now I am paying full EMI and possession not sure when they are going to give(maybe 2028(Rera date)), the constructions they have left in mid. For Phase1 owners also they are pushing the handover deadline.
This is so disappointing! and now I am stuck, so whenever you decide to buy a property in Godrej, think 100 times before.

The spookiest story I have come across is about vultures and other birds dropping human body parts on apartment balconies of a certain apartment next to the place. This was some 15+ years ago when there was just one large apartment community next to it.
Y’all I’ve heard the WILDEST firsthand stories about apartments near the Parsi Tower of Silence. Carpenters hearing voices calling their names, doors opening and closing on their own, owners reportedly abandoning their homes, and apartments lying vacant. Add property litigation and delayed handovers to the mix, and it’s a spooky web of stories. I’m fascinated! Last year when A and I were house hunting, I suggested to him that we should maybe check out some apartments that side and he was like NOPETY NOPE.

Send: an objection to India's Draft Laboratory Animals Rules, 2026
To: [email protected] (cpcsea, not ccsea)
Object to: Rule 5(3), which lets an unnamed authority exempt strays, and Rule 11(3), which lets labs approve their own mild and moderate experiments on dogs
Our letter does it in a minute. Link in the reply.

ALT Rule 11(3). "Labs can sign off on their own experiments." Mild or moderate experiments are approved by the lab's own ethics committee, any species, dogs included. CCSEA only gets progress reports and still approves severe and non-recovery work on animals bigger than rats and rabbits.

ALT "Add your name. Hit Send." The link is in the first reply. QR code to dogwithblog.in/object-lab-animal-rules for laptop readers. Or email [email protected] yourself; it's cpcsea, not ccsea.

I came across a theory that AI is starting to make more mistakes because the internet is increasingly polluted with AI slop. The idea of AI cannibalising itself into obscurity is one of my favourite things ever. I hope it is true and I hope it becomes impossible to fix.

Tim Burton's SLEEPY HOLLOW is genuinely the greatest horror movie to watch during the Halloween season because it literally has *everything* you could want; Jack-o-lanterns, actual lanterns, creepy woods, brooding skies, seances, curses, witches, scarecrows, sword *and* gun fights, old cemeteries, a cool-looking villain, and most importantly its a ghost movie *and* slasher movie wrapped up as a murder mystery movie.
It. Has. Everything.
