I’ve delivered on building housing, and we’re just getting started.
Thanks to partnership with Prime Minister Carney we have secured $2.7 billion to build housing you can afford.
Tommy Douglas knew then what New Democrats still know today.
If we could mobilize the resources of this country to defeat Nazi tyranny, there is no reason we cannot do the same to make sure that each and every person has what they need to live a dignified life.
Happy Birthday, Tommy.

The town of Mexico, NY announced Tuesday it would change its name to Epstein List to avoid being targeted by President Donald Trump’s reported push to rename New Mexico to New America.
“We figured if we changed our name to something he absolutely doesn’t want to talk about, we might fly under the radar,” said town supervisor Mark Henderson.

Let's mention emergency response. One candidate reduced police response times from 26 minutes to 12 minutes. One candidate reduced 911 operator delay from up to 12 minutes to 3 seconds. Mayor Chow has been effective where it matters.

This morning, environmental titan David Suzuki joined me in speaking about the risks to our safety and pocketbooks that come with Bradford’s proposal to privatize our water.
I’m grateful to have David’s support. His decades of leadership on the environment remind us that protecting our water means protecting our communities and our environment for future generations.
Our water should never be for sale.

Why does a scientist study nature? by Henri Poincaré 💭
The scientist does not study nature because it is useful to do so. He studies it because he takes pleasure in it, and he takes pleasure in it because it is beautiful. If nature were not beautiful it would not be worth knowing, and life would not be worth living. I am not speaking, of course, of the beauty which strikes the senses, of the beauty of qualities and appearances. I am far from despising this, but it has nothing to do with science. What I mean is that more intimate beauty which comes from the harmonious order of its parts, and which a pure intelligence can grasp.

New blog post: Thinking about Penguin Variables
Bill length & depth show Simpson's paradox. Re-expressed as size (L—D) and shape (L/D), it vanishes: same data, rotated 45°, a simpler story.

ALT Two scatterplots of Palmer penguins, with Adelie in orange, Chinstrap in purple and Gentoo in green, each species with data ellipses and a regression line. Left, "Length & depth": bill depth vs. bill length, where each species slopes upward but a dashed line for all penguins together slopes downward. Right, "Size & shape": log shape vs. log size, where the three species are stacked vertically by shape, Adelie lowest and Gentoo highest, and all the lines are nearly flat.

FLASHBACK: Ten years ago tonight, Hillary Clinton said that Donald Trump would operate as a puppet of Vladimir Putin.
Hillary was right about everything.

George Conway on Trump: “The decline has been constant, but I do think it’s accelerating. He’s always been a narcissistic sociopath, a psychopath. His ego is so sensitive to slights or perceived criticisms. He knows he’s not that smart, he knows he had to cheat to get ahead. If you look at the history of people like Trump, Hitler was a psychopath and a delusional one. All these megalomaniacs throughout history, they become more and more detached from reality and then they get more desperate. This is not good”

This video needs to go viral.
It is so true in every way. Trump is controlled by Vladimir Putin. He clearly puts Russia before America. @ProjectLincoln
