Govt is letting aviation companies get away with reckless polluting for free, & forcing cash-strapped public to pick up the tab. Ministers must end these free pollution permits immediately & make high-carbon companies pay for their climate-wrecking damage

Deeply depressing debate on #RefugeeBanBill - Braverman continuing to stir up division & hate, defending the indefensible, breaking international law & launching profound attack on asylum, blocking people seeking safety from ever being granted protection or justice #StopTheBill

Two press stories today highlight the grotesque inequality we face in our country:
▪️ Rishi Sunak has had the electricity grid in his area upgraded to heat his private pool
▪️ England has lost almost 400 swimming pools since 2010, with more health-deprived areas losing out most

So Lineker steps down, but BBC chairperson Richard Sharp, who helped facilitate an £800,000 loan for Boris Johnson and who's personally donated £400,000 to the Conservative party stays in his job ... got it... impartiality

Ministers shouldn't just be politely asking profiteering private water firms to upgrade outdated sewage infrastructure - nor wanting more 'plans'. Govt should be *forcing* them to do it. While water firms are swimming in cash, the rest of us are swimming in shit. @Feargal_Sharkey
