Replying to @LauraLoomer @POTUS
Laura loomer wants America to nuke another Country because her political party lost the midterms, we have to get these kind of people out of politics.

Nov. 6, 1990: Gambino soldier Edward Lino wasn’t just tracked down by crooked NYPD officers, he was murdered by them. Corrupt killers Louis Eppolito and Stephen Caracappa pulled Lino over on a service road of Belt Parkway in Brooklyn and shot him in the head. The murderous “Mafia Cops” were sentenced to die behind bars for eight mob-ordered executions after being found guilty of selling their badges to the Luchese crime family. Lino’s son, Vincent, was there at the sentencing. “These two lowlifes shot and killed my father,” roared an angry Lino, whose mobbed-up dad was killed for $65,000. “May youse have a long life in prison,” he said in a thick Brooklyn accent. The two cops earned $4,000 a month on the payroll of Luchese underboss Anthony ‘Gaspipe’ Casso from 1986 to 1990 to orchestrate murders and pass along confidential police information, prosecutors said.

The message is simple: fix problems at home, stay out of new wars, and stop putting regular Americans last. Whoever ignores that gets punished next time, and that includes the new majority.

The Iran War is the greatest political blunder in the last two decades at least. A catastrophically stupid decision. An unforgivable betrayal of America First principles.

With the loss of governors races in Texas, Ohio and Georgia, there will be only one state of the top ten most populous states with a Republican governor: Florida.

I didn’t think a wave election was possible in an America this divided. But it turns out that after 25 years of pointless engagement in the Middle East - thousands of lives, trillions of dollars wasted - when you run as the candidate to stop this, and then do it again - people will say enough.

Astutely observed. DeSantis is positioning himself to split from the admin in a more populist direction on both war and AI—two issues that will matter for ‘28
Obvious sign DeSantis plans to run in ‘28. No candidate from the Trump admin can run on this and Ted Cruz plans to campaign on celebrating the war. It contrasts with Ron’s past hawkery on Iran, as well as the fact that many of his biggest ‘24 supporters are aggressively defending the war. It gives him a popular position to separate himself from the admin and pitch his bid as something different from a third Trump term. Whether it will resonate enough with the base to make him a top contender is another matter.

New York used to be a real book town; every year Fifth Avenue would close for New York it Book Country. (Here's a great poster by William Joyce!) The greatest bookstore in the world were there (Gotham Book Mart!). Alas, all gone now, along with book culture. A great loss.
