🚨🇫🇷 NEWS: A French woman was given a six month suspended sentence and a €3,000 fine after her home was invaded by a Tunisian migrant who sexually assaulted her.
She appeared on national television to discuss her ordeal and said "the main danger for women in France is Black African and Arab immigrant men"
The Police then charged her with "incitement to racial hatred"
Her appeal against this punishment is due later today

Richard Ford spent months online asking to meet children as young as seven for sex. He thought he was talking to real parents. He wasn't, they were undercover officers. But his intentions were real.
When police searched his home they found 913 indecent images of children on his devices. Over 250 were the most serious category possible.
And a real child had already been assaulted. Three times.
He got five years.
Pembrokeshire County Council says the offences weren't committed during his employment. That may be true. It doesn't change what he is. It doesn't change what he knew about how child protection systems work. It doesn't change the fact that his job title would have made him one of the last people a parent would suspect.
That's not a coincidence. That's the point.

This announcement reflects legitimate concerns about children's safety online, but a ban of this scale would change how children access and experience the digital world. The UK Government must ensure that any decisions are informed by children themselves and by independent experts.
We are concerned that a blanket ban may look protective on paper, but instead pushes children into less regulated spaces, where they are less likely to seek help when something goes wrong. Children growing up in poverty are likely to be among those most affected.
If ministers want to make the online world safer, the answer is not simply keeping children off platforms. The focus must be on providing better support for parents by making platforms safer by design, tackling addictive and high-risk features such as stranger contact, live streaming, nudification tools and unsafe AI systems, so that children are not exposed to harm online.
