I could encase my phone in concrete and f^ck it off a cliff and it’d still somehow be in my hand 90 seconds later

Anyone who cares at all about the mentally ill must read this eloquent & deeply moving description of everything that's horribly wrong with our mental health nonsystem:

It took a while, but we built a mastering studio. Studio Saile is now up and running and we are delighted about it! #masteringengineer #hardlabour #cutepuppy. Thanks to all people who made it happen and whose music has passed through here this year 🙏

"It's not therapy but it feels like therapy."
No, it actually doesn't
Oh boy… this is the most on the nose social media “therapy” I’ve ever seen. It’s almost satire. @JonathanShedler

4/ Freud and Man's Soul by Bruno Bettelheim offers real insight into the origins of psychoanalytic theory and how and why it is personally relevant to everyone. This is an invaluable corrective to the stupid caricatures we find in most textbooks. (It's also good for laypersons

1/ People often ask what readings I recommend for clinicians & trainees who want to learn about psychodynamic therapy. Here's a partial list
For a bird's eye, jargon-free introduction to psychodynamic thought, read chapters 1 and 2 of "That Was Then, This is Now" by yours truly.

The smallest bird in the world is the Zunzunito, also know as the bee bird.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
While the bee hummingbird is tiny, it’s not nearly as tiny as the ‘bird’ in the photo.
An adult bee hummingbird measures around two and a quarter inches long, much larger than a thumbnail. They also look very different. Like other hummingbirds, they have a long needle-like beak
