@TeslaUK I’m trading in my current car as part of my Tesla order in Northern Ireland. Tesla is asking me to provide an MOT certificate, but my car isn’t yet 4 years old.

In Northern Ireland, private cars have their first MOT at 4 years from first registration. My car therefore has no MOT certificate — because it isn’t legally due one yet.

I understand Tesla may require an MOT for trade-ins, but surely your Northern Ireland process should recognise that an MOT cannot exist for a car that hasn’t reached 4 years. Please can someone resolve this? Happy to DM my details.
