29 October 2025. A year later, we shall not forget. We honor the blood of those that died, disappeared. It is not in vain. One day, justice will prevail.

A walkabout in Nairobi and you'll appreciate the social economics of a place like Baricho Road, daytime and nighttime economics 😅😅.
There's, however, a certain vibrancy in the fabric of city life that can be a joy to certain folks.
I tend to think city life is quite noisy; there is no tranquillity to pause, think, and reflect. Neighbourhoods, public transport, and social places are all noisy, leaving little room even to grab a book, meet people, and discuss peacefully.
Reading and listening to the decisions reached by top policy actors in both Israel and the US regarding striking Iran makes Irving Janis's groupthink model of decision-making very relevant.
News from your country can be so depressing, but you must remain optimistic that nothing remains the same forever.

Meet Dr. Brenda Koech, a registered pharmacist and USIU-Africa Bachelor of Pharmacy alumna,(#USIUClassOf2023), whose undergraduate thesis has been published in Health Science Reports, a Wiley journal. Her research examined potential drug-drug interactions among patients with cardiovascular diseases at Kenyatta National Hospital, Nairobi.
Key finding? 91% of the patients studied had at least one potential drug-drug interaction. Her guiding principle? “Medicine should help patients get better, not cause harm.”

I've grown to appreciate the old African American preaching. The performative style rooted in the hermeneutic of lived experiences of struggle and liberation is quite captivating. And of course, exegesis and the rhythm of the whoop 🤭
I enjoy taking handwritten notes daily or weekly on topics including personal matters, politics, social issues, my teaching experience, research, and even the people I meet and our discussions.
