I am backkkk
Survival was very very very intense
But I survived and learned a lot along the way. I signed an NDA so I can’t talk about the details, but here are my takeaways
> Extreme clarity and focus, you pick up on the small details/ hints, without them you work twice as hard
> Not believing everything, instructors purposely gave missinformation and speculation spread, you had to trust your instincts in the end instead of other people
> Celebrate the small wins, shit is hard, you hit the target? Literally celebrate
> you’re much more capable than you think, push your limits regularly
> You don’t need much to survive, you end up wearing the same thing every day. You have enough on your back to make it already
> Have fun, good morale is important. Make jokes don’t take things so seriously. Having fun makes the experience 10x better
Doing a forced digital detox for 5 days
I won’t have my phone, laptop or any technology while I camp in Northern California
It's part of an accelerator program I just joined. 50+ founders and startups heading into the wilderness together for a survival week. Think building rafts, crossing rivers, and 10+ miles on foot a day
I haven't been offline in YEARS
Genuinely curious how my brain handles it
Unfollowing all of you
Well maybe just some of you, locking in on those providing value, tech news, builders and any fun relatable content in emerging markets
I understand why people stay in Silicon Valley
Because it’s not sustainable to do business in any other timezone
It’s 8am here and already 11am on the east coast and Europe? It’s 5pm.
I love fun little experiments
i spend most of my day talking to ai now.
i work from home, i haven’t been to a conference in ages, and at some point i realised i’m barely having real conversations with people anymore. which is a problem, because i always find my greatest inspiration comes from having conversations with new people.
so i’m running a small experiment: 100 conversations over the next few months with friends, strangers and a maybe a few enemies if they’re up for it. just 25 minutes of your time, and we can talk about whatever you want, or i’ll come with some easy questions.
i think of it a bit like reading 100 books, so if you have a book you’d recommend, bring that too.
Grok Bot team shipped in the last few days:

I’m in San Francisco
Does that mean I should take a @Waymo through @innoutburger drive through?
Things I missed being offline for 5 days
> Tesla cars can do a kick flip
> France protest (worst riot in years)
> Kylie walks as a Victoria secret Angel
Did I miss anything else?
See everyone Monday
… if I survive 👀
