There is more Resident Evil in these 19 minutes than in the entirety of Cregger's film. Sure, the latter is a fine standalone movie, but it foregoes all the lore and narratives that make this universe unique and exciting to experience. Huge thanks to @chandlerriggs for making this, and I sure hope it resonates with the suits.
MINI-REVIEW: Chandler Riggs pulled off what we've constantly been told wasn't a great idea: a faithful, authentic adaptation of a video game that does not compromise the original's vision. Capcom - the ball is in your court now.
