I am building an open source agentic analytics platform myself, and it will have Stripe attributions like DataFast as well, but I totally agree with this.
If your selling point is just: “we are cheaper than..”, in my mind you are going to attract the worst customers you can imagine, you are not establishing any trust with your customers and you will probably run out of money when things get serious.. like a customer pushing 2M events a month.
You cannot compete on price. You need to add value.
Competing on price is usually not a good idea.
You should compete on value.
I think @marclou was the first to unlock real money from Stripe with metrics.
What's your moat?
I want to grow my X presence and reach the monetisation eligibility on this platform in a reasonable time.
I am already growing at a decent pace and I am very happy for it, but I feel I can do better.
To increase my pace and increase efficiency of the time I want to spend to achieve my goal, I decided to start using a scheduling platform.
There are many options, scheduling platforms is a very oversaturated market.
Four years ago I used to run one myself called Skedlo, which I shutdown due to X api pricing introduction, so I know that if made properly schedulers can really help here.
Out of all the available options I decided to go with Postiz by @wickedguro, mainly because I use to interact with Nevo from time to time and he is a very nice guy, very serious and reliable.
I will report back on my unbiased experience!
This is a great thinking where we don’t need to use the same technology for everything we do.
NodeJS is an amazing all rounded tech, but for more backend heavy processing, if you need fast execution, better technologies exists like Go.
AI model = brain
AI tools = arms and legs
We need to make the tools safer to make AI safer.
I have been a .NET developer for 15 years, now I am fully converted to Next.js!
It’s clean, simple, web oriented design, it bundles everything you need for web development and using it with Typescript makes a perfect combo to me.
What’s your favourite web framework and why?
