For most CS students in India, 2,000 followers in your niche will do more for your career than your degree.
This was my first ever LinkedIn post that actually went viral. And the response was crazy: >Got approached by multiple founders asking for tips. >One person invited me to a podcast. >People genuinely wanted to know how I did it. Content creation is the new CSE.

Product Hunt launches are a vanity exercise for B2B startups. A week of begging for upvotes in DMs, a badge on the landing page, and zero paying customers 30 days later.

Man,caste discrimination is still so deeply rooted in our society, yet a lot of privileged people genuinely believe it doesn't exist anymore. And it's not just a tier 3 city or village thing. It's very much present in the mindset of a large part of India. If you're a Brahmin or someone from an upper caste who marries someone from a lower caste, these same people will make you feel like you've committed some unforgivable sin. You still get invited to public gatherings, but the way people treat you there will make you wish you hadn't gone. The taunts, the judgement, the subtle ways they make you feel like you don't belong anymore. People who once treated you like family might suddenly think twice before sitting with you, eating with you, or letting their children get too close to yours. And It doesn't matter how wealthy you are, how successful you've become, or how much you've achieved in life. None of it necessarily earns you their respect once you've crossed that invisible caste boundary. Can see this happening with people around me. And if you think this is all a hoax, try telling your parents about the girl/boy you want to marry and then tell them she's from a different caste.

Ambition cannot be taught. It only comes from the situations you deal with. And the worst part of being ambitious is hardly anyone around you understands your vision, specially your family / parents. You get addicted to the dopamine hits and adrenaline rush that comes with working hard putting in effort doing extraordinary shit. It's a phase where I feel family is kinda slowing me down. What's the need to do all this why are you working so much this early, slow down calm down. It's something I can't just explain. Losing a parent at a very early age going through tough situations has made me realise that trust no one and build your own persona. Only you are responsible for your status and growth. It leads to massive insecurities but so be it. It's a phase where nothing makes sense and barely anyone understands you but you still have to do it. People who hate you in most cases are jealous of you (unless you're extremely dumb). Overtime I've realised people who are and have done extraordinary shit were never happy at core but people around them in most cases were the happiest.

good music taste is bare minimum for me 😔🙏🏻
Everyone says taste is the moat for AI-native companies. After months of hiring at Flexprice, I think the harder problem is finding people who have it. Here is what I have learned about spotting taste in a candidate: > They can explain why a product feels good, in specifics. Spacing, copy, the one step that got removed. > They have proof of work. A side project, a teardown, a post that made you stop scrolling. Taste always leaves a trail. > They understand the customer better than the spec does. They ask who is using this and what that person's day looks like before they ask about the deadline. > They edit ruthlessly. Most of taste is knowing what to cut. > They have strong opinions and change them fast when the data says so. What else would you add to this list?

Singing is a skill you practice almost blind. You can record yourself and listen back, but it's hard to tell exactly where you're going wrong or what to work on next. I'm building Suzune, a singing companion that turns songs into a fun structured practice experience. You work through a song section by section, compare your voice with the original using visual feedback, track your attempts, and gradually work toward singing the whole thing. Join the waitlist.

a big issue on why india isn't able to do a lot of big things is that whenever someone does something big we're conditioned to look at it with envy instead of appreciation the first thought is this person is privileged, or lying, or made this up, or some other excuse to bring them to the ground and never really i wonder how they did this, maybe i could do this myself if we just start off with being curious and maybe changing the mindset from "i can't ever do this, this person is different" to "this person did it, so can i" i'm sure it'll lead to way more big wins
