A student opening the edge AI conversation is the best kind of DevFest lineup. Hope the room came with questions for Gokulakrishnan 💚

Locking the venue 7 weeks out lets the right people plan around it. The harder part comes later: getting last year's attendees back. What brings your returning crowd back each year?

Meetup → Conversation → Connection → Comeback. The first event brings developers together. The people are why they return: to share ideas, solve problems and build together. Belonging beats attendance. 💚 #DevRel #DevRelSquad

Pairing early-stage founders with B.Des students works both ways. Founders get fresh eyes on the product, students get a brief with real users behind it. Curious how the pairs get matched?

Students, builders and industry at one hack day is the right mix for Bengaluru. A partner running a 20-week league gives the day's builders a next step after it ends 🚀

The second meetup is where a community proves itself. Knowing who came in June, and who should be back, is half the planning. We run ours on @GoAvoAI for exactly this.

Govern what's around the model, not the model itself. That's the most practical AI framing we've seen this week. Hope Hall 3 is full at 11:30.

Rotating across Indiranagar, HSR, Koramangala, JP Nagar and Jayanagar is a smart way to meet the city. Which neighbourhood gave you the best show-up so far?

First meetups set the bar for the second one. Run It Local is a great name too. How many of your RSVPs actually walked in on the night?

Thousands of submissions down to one finale room is the hardest cut in any hackathon. Shortlisting for fit before the room fills is exactly why we run ours on @GoAvoAI.

Swag gets people in the door. A DevRel person who remembers your name gets them back. Clearly both happened here 💚

Founder houses work best when the DevRel team is actually in the room answering questions. What do you want teams walking out with on day 3?

Performance debugging across native and cross-platform is the talk people actually take notes in. Practitioner sessions like this are what bring devs back next year.

First community meetups set the tone. What worked for us: leave real time for questions to the maintainers. That's usually why people come back for the second one.

Taking a hackathon to Mangaluru with a real problem attached is the right call. Builders show up differently when the challenge has a face: fishers, not a theme.

Four city rounds into one finale is a lot of community to bring into one room. Curious what made finalists stand out more: the build or the pitch?

Build → document → open-source → merge is such a good format. People leave with a contribution, not just a badge. See you on the road to DevFest 💚

Community meetups before a big conference are underrated. Curious, did you meet more builders there or at DevDay itself?

Free RSVPs are a maybe. Across our events we usually see 45–55% show-up when we shortlist for fit instead of approving everyone. Interest → intent is the step most hosts skip.

Quick question for DevRel folks: What brings a developer back after their first event? The speaker lineup? The swag? Or the feeling that they’ve found people who genuinely understand what they’re building? Our vote: belonging beats attendance.
