If they don't charge this as a double-homicide they are saying the baby inside this poor woman had no human worth. If that was true, then I could slip a pregnant misoprostol and the abortion of the fetus would have no legal consequences for me since it had no value.
Human beings have value not based on if someone wanted them or not nor if they are located inside a womb or otherwise. We either have worth, and rights, or we have none.

Wow, I can't believe that in 3 days we'll have 30 days to get told who the new governor of California is!
Japan is *such* an amazing place, with the high level of societal trust that we lack in the US. Sitting at a Starbucks right now, this random woman puts her purse on the chair next to my table to hold it and casually walks off to wait for her drink. Zero concern I would take anything, it didn't even occur to her that putting her open purse next to a stranger was anything to worry about.
On the other hand, I really worry that the Japanese economy isn't doing so well. There was barely anything in that lady's wallet.
Dear Japanese people: what the hell is happening in Shinjuku station and why is it happening all at the same time? Are the train signs designed only to confuse tourists and make them wander endlessly looking for their train lines, or is it to affect the natives as well because I saw many Japanese asking other Japanese how to get somewhere. Total mess, it's like three committees were selected to put up signs and had wildly different concepts of arrows and consistency. I felt like the American explorers who traversed the Northwest Passage, praying to God that my journey to find the proper exit would be reached before my supplies gave out.
Or healthcare system was broken to begin with, but after Obamacare it became far worse. This isn't sustainable. So my insurance got "discounts" off list prices for things which were already not realistic. This isn't how "insurance" is supposed to work, prices should be set and fair to pay out of pocket *ALWAYS*.

I’m out here visiting every county, listening to Californians, and running on practical things that will save us money:
✅ $3 gas
✅ $73 car registration
✅ Cutting your electricity bills in half
✅ No state income tax on your first $150K
Xavier Becerra won’t do any press or debate me. He backed out of LA Times and Univision.
He has zero respect for the people of California.
California deserves a governor who SHOWS UP.
Vote for the candidate who’s already working to save you money, not the candidate who hides in his basement.
Xavier Becerra and the Democrats should not be rewarded for this level of complacency.
Let’s get out and vote, California. It’s time for a REAL change.
Just Try It!

After last week's dump, looking at the date tomorrow. Maybe best to keep trading conservative.

I was told Trump was an egomaniac and it was egregious how he wanted to put his last name on this he built or contributed to. Visited San Francisco this weekend and saw this. I wonder how many people protested like it was the Kennedy Center. Also... quite fitting how many homeless were out on the street up and down Mission, got way worse from a year ago. I'm sure Nancy did a lot of good here though.
Can anyone tell me what the point of city home inspectors are? I pay contractors, I pay city for plans they review and approve. Then they send inspector to look at MY property I paid to modify that it followed code, which the contractor is licensed for doing and had to pay for to be certified. In the end, the inspector signs off and even if they miss something I can't sue them or the city. What's the point?
Meanwhile on the highway I pass shoddily built homeless encampments which catch fire occasionally, often built of wood and tarp. Pure insanity. If someone were writing a history book about the shit we had to put up with from our "government" they would wonder why we didn't revolt.
