One big flaw with Trump was he painted every Democrat as a mortal enemy and threat to the country. I hope we can get past that as a nation and just treat the other party as Americans that you just disagree with. But it's looking like Democrats will continue this new tradition. When Clinton was handed a Republican Congress, he worked with them, compromised, and we had quite a few very good years. I hope Trump can do that with the Democrats, but probably won't happen.

Every sysadmin is screaming now, since this will require patching every system to account for the new time change schedule -- probably at the last minute too.

Grok.com has an awesome voice agent feature. I used it to create a receptionist for my business. It does really well. Cost about 6 cents a minute. This is a real audio, the images are AI generated becauseI can't upload audio only here.

It will route calls to my phone under certain conditions. She's really good at screening sales calls. I have noticed it interacting with other bots calling. Soon as she figures out other end is also a bot she has directions just to hang up. Kinda funny when that happens.

My first pgo Chandelure raid and I encountered a shiny! It's a bitch to catch in regular mode so I wanted to switch to AR mode and hit the exit button instead

Well we all knew this to be true but -- damn. So blatant.
Out of curiosity I had my Grok Bot read 26,000 news articles about car crashes since 2019. 70% of Tesla crash stories put "Tesla" in the headline vs less than 6% for any other mainstream car manufacturer. Even exotic crashes like Lamborghini and Ferrari make the headline only about half the time at most.

The downside of a not very popular X account is the only notifications I usually get are from X money. But this one is OK. I'm slowly trusting it with more and more of my stash. Can't beat 6%! Even my CFP can't do better.

People saying US should nationalize Space X don’t seem to understand that the gov would need to pay shareholders for their shares and Musk would end up getting about 750 billion in cash.

I'm really old and this is just anecdotal and prob not fair, but I swore off dating single Moms after my first attempt and not for the reason you think. I was in my late 20s. Asked the Mom out. We dated for about 18 months. She had a 5 yo daughter. I did not love bomb her. Kinda was polite and friendly to her but didn't go out of my way to win any affection. Over time I just started to talk with her, play a few silly games, just get to know her. I really fell for the kid and started to feel like she was my own. In fact I think I loved her more than her Mom, and maybe that was the problem. The Mom eventually broke up with me. And ex-bf's don't get visitation rights. She cut off all access to her daughter. I was heart broken. Tore me up. Deeply. It was like being dumped twice with double the heartbreak. I swore I'd never date another single Mom and never did. I couldn't bear to go through that again. About 20 years later the kid found me on fbook and reached out. We met for dinner. She herself was married and had a few kids by then. She told me how hard that was on her. She said she had a mix tape I made for her where I DJ'ed the different songs like I was a radio DJ. She told me she hid that tape and listened to it for years over and over until it wore out and broke. I still keep in touch with her. She ended up having three kids and they are all adults now themselves. So yeah, dating single Moms is hard.
Met a single mom at the park, got her number, asked her on a date. She said yes. She wasn’t much of a texter, which was fine. Made a reservation Tuesday for tomorrow, but she never confirmed. Now she’s texting today asking to switch to a steakhouse. 🤦‍♂️

All this talk about AirBNB cleaning stuff and here I am staying in hotels 50+ nights a year and tidying my room up before I check out because I'm a considerate person.
I’ll stay at Airbnb’s and purposefully not wash dishes. The owners will try to charge me an additional fee on top of the cleaning fee. Next I’ll seek public injunctive relief for deceptive cleaning fees since Airbnb's terms excludes requests for public injunctive relief from arbitration. I won’t need to do a class action suit. Instead I’ll document every customer complaint about Airbnb owners violating consumer protection laws and share on every social media platform while connecting to other influencers who will promote the stories. I’ll reach out to a state attorney general or the FTC to pursue enforcement using statutory authority. Finally, I’ll hand everyone my business card which states “Welcome to capitalism, bitch.”

All of your info is out there and people can easily open up stuff in your name. Only way to combat this is with a national ID tied to biometrics, which then opens up all sorts of dystopian hell scenarios :-(
New: someone made a CashApp account in her name. She spent 3 nights in jail and now faces up to 6 years in prison Amanda Smith was arrested because a scam led to a CashApp account in her name. But she says she didn't make it, and the data doesn't line up 404media.co/amanda-smith-ope…

Is this as cool as it appears to be? If bitcoin is going to be mined anyway, might as well use the waste heat for something useful.
Introducing Bitwater: the water heater element that mines Bitcoin. It screws into the electric tank you already have. Physically decentralized mining that runs no matter what 🧵 Heat water. Mine Bitcoin. Same tank.

Another sign tipping culture is out of control in US. I was presented with a tipping option when ordering something online. Like WUT?!?!?

You know that soon as the rocket version of Roadster is for sale, some Saudi prince will be proxy buying it and shipping it there, then we'll see some crazy videos before it's wrecked in a spectacular fashion.

Got my Cybertruck PCS2 replacement done. Only had to wait three weeks but apparently the free supercharging is good for 90 days. Mine expires Dec 13th.

Funny but if a human paying AI to write code isn’t copyrightable then a business paying a human to write code shouldn’t be copyrighted to the business either.

This has got to be the most ridiculous bookface comment I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of stupid ones.

I thought the Cybertruck was a pretty massively long vehicle often sticking out of parking spots, but then I saw this graphic. For ref, the CT is 223 inches
