This is heartbreaking for every single woman and girl while the rest of the world watches in disbelief 💔
The Taliban have made it illegal for women to speak to each other.
It didn’t even get this far in the Handmaid’s Tale.
@WomensRightsNet will keep listening to Afghan women and amplifying their voices.

Am truly honoured. But it is on behalf of all you truly remarkable hard working farmers out there who keep the nation fed that I accept this with humble gratitude. Thank you all for your kind words. Diolch o galon. @FarmersWeekly @NFUCymru @NFUtweets

It was great to be back at Royal Centre for Defence Medicine (RCDM) at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham recently, after being away for so long. The last time I was there, I was bringing military personnel back from Afghanistan.
The RCDM is the centre for excellence across the whole of the UK, providing medical support and specialist care for members of the armed forces. The service there is of the highest possible standard.
Thank you to Colonel Vicky Moorhouse and Colonel Mark Ballard for their invitation and for the fantastic visit. And a heartfelt thank you to all the NHS staff working and living in the Selly Oak constituency and wider Birmingham for all that you do.

🇫🇰This desk in the #FalklandIslands has been used by many Governors, including Rex Hunt, but also General Menéndez in the dark days of occupation. During my brief tenure as Acting Governor, it’s home to a photo of me with my Dad in 1982 on his return 🇬🇧 home from the conflict ⚓️
