Honestly, I don’t believe in this “social experiment” at all. You may disagree with me, but damn, it was obvious from the start that people would have a sharp and negative reaction. It looks like an excuse, because they started throwing shit at him #darkdeception
So the real purpose of the IG post was to prove a point to a partner about why using AI is not a good idea. Call it a social experiment. They felt people had softened on AI as it has become more prevalent on social media and in games. They were not convinced we would get a ton of hate still. A single post on Instagram only needed 1 hour to prove my point. Our previous AI post on here (a case render mockup) received almost no hate. Meanwhile, IG was the opposite. Yet despite the hate in the comments, the post was more liked than our normal posts. Different audiences on different platforms? However, the toxic hive mind vitriol displayed deserves no apology and won't get one from me.

Being a dark deception fan
I look away from dark deception for a week and I find out Vincent Livings posted ai slop and is doubling down #okayman
They didn't just use ai, they also doubled down on it. Not to mention, "with or without, it's brainrot slop". So the fanart for their game is slop too? Wow.
I can't help but wonder if he even believes what he says in that post, because it's ridiculous. I saw some rude comments, but most people were simply expressing their frustration under that post.
When it was him all along who doubled down on using AI, tried to play "gotcha!"-
said that anything on social media is just "brainrot slop". Making excuses about using AI for promo. (Taking 5 minutes to pose two models in a built scene is a lot of time? Really?)

I don’t know how to feel about this.. on one hand it was so obvious it was AI it was kind of strange on why they would do a AI teaser after making so many cinematic teasers.
But I also feel like there were better ways to show how AI is not a good idea instead of using AI.. I hope this was all really just a test and they never use generative AI again but with that being said I don’t think they were “toxic” from what I’ve seen it’s just fans concerned on why you’re resulting to using AI when you have the models, the team, and the budget to make one render.
In my opinion they had every right to be mad and concerned about the franchise and games. But I’m glad to hear that they won’t be using AI in the game nor this franchise. But this will definitely leave a sour taste for some fan.. and I feel that’s completely understandable but eh that’s just my take 🤷♂️

I’m sorry but this sounds like a sorry ass excuse that every mf uses when they start getting flamed cus you know DAMN well you wouldn’t say this if there wasn’t hate. Ai has TONS of reason to get hated and using it when you have so many talented people is just a crazy decision

I'm disappointed. Really hoping that Vince realizes the mistake he's made and no longer use AI. He has the models to make renders for teasers, but apparently, that's too much effort on Vince's eyes.
