1/ threads about how to think different L1 as countries or cities, and use to predict the likely winners?
think about how US as a country become rich, the past 50 years or so, since WW 2.
what would be the major reasons?
3 major things:
Energy, Culture + Law
maybe talk data center through pickleball, or use like AI stuff from pickleballing
Replying to @TurnerNovak
The data shows people are definitively pro pickleball. Basically the opposite of data centers.

we need a way to buy great companies ignored by the index or trapped by geography

If you've ever wondered why smart TVs are so cheap, this is why.
@log4j rooted his Samsung and found an always-on hot mic, automatic content recognition, geolocation, network mapping, ad targeting and user profiling, shared with Samsung's "400 partners".
A lot of it can be blocked in <15 min, wrote a basic guide below.
What your TV is doing
The main culprit is ACR (automatic content recognition). Your TV screenshots what's on screen, fingerprints it, and sends it home to build your ad profile. Samsung does it every 500ms, LG every 10ms [1].
What is insane: it happens on connected devices too.
Plug in your laptop, your console, your work machine, and your TV can fingerprint that via HDMI [1].
He also found that if your Samsung doesn't have a mic, it'll look for one from a connected soundbar or bluetooth device.
xitter.cf/log4j/status/211376224…
It's on by default, and you likely agreed to it on the setup screen you clicked through in 10 seconds.
Step 1: Turn off ACR
Samsung: Terms & Privacy → Viewing Information Services
LG: Live Plus
Vizio: Viewing Data
Roku: "Use info from TV inputs"
Sony/Google TV: Samba Interactive TV
Menus vary by model, but those are the names to look for. While you're in there, opt out of interest-based ads, reset your advertising ID, decline every optional privacy agreement, turn off voice recognition, and delete apps you never open.
Step 2: Give smart devices their own network
Put the TV, cameras, speakers and vacuum on your router's guest/IoT network. The logic is simple: these devices rarely get patched. If one gets compromised (getting drastically more frequent with AI), it shouldn't be able to see your other devices or home network.
Step 3: Block trackers for the whole house with DNS-level filtering
NextDNS (cloud-based) is easy and has a solid free plan. Pi-hole is a little bit more work if you prefer self hosting. For simplicity we'll focus on the former.
1. Sign up at nextdns.io (free tier is plenty)
2. Privacy tab: add a blocklist (OISD is a good bet) and turn on Native Tracking Protection for Samsung, LG, Roku, Amazon (see attached image)
3. Setup tab: copy your endpoint
4. Paste it into your router's DNS settings as DNS-over-HTTPS/TLS (or use the IPs + "Link IP" if your router only does plain DNS)
5. Bonus: block outbound port 53 except to your router. Some devices hardcode their own DNS to get around you
Then open the NextDNS logs and watch how often your TV phones home. It's eye-opening. If an app or update breaks, find the domain in the logs and allowlist it.
Why they do this
TV prices are down 97% since 2000 [2]. Most of that is better manufacturing and brutal competition. But once margins on the hardware hit zero, the cost moved to you.
In Q3 2024, Vizio lost $6.7M selling TVs and made $115.8M in gross profit from ads and viewing data [3]. They've said on earnings calls that they keep TV prices low to grow the audience they sell to advertisers. Walmart bought them in 2024.
This isn't a conspiracy theory either. Vizio paid $2.2M to the FTC in 2017 for tracking 11 million TVs without consent. Last December, Texas sued Samsung, LG, Sony, Hisense and TCL over ACR. Samsung and LG have since agreed to stop collecting that data without explicit consent [4].
TL;DR
1. ACR off
2. Ads + voice off
3. Smart devices on their own network
4. NextDNS filtering on the router

Networking is overrated. Become first and foremost a person of value and the network will be available whenever you need it.

There are millions of people around the world who want to invest, build wealth, and own a piece of the global economy.
Many of them are in places where we're only beginning to build.

Revenue is good, also sustaining PMF and potential TAM as well
Revenue has been one of the strongest narratives this year.
People will buy tokens of projects that actually make money.
Top 15 projects by revenue in 2026:
@HyperliquidX - $HYPE - $526.7M
@pumpfun - $PUMP - $390.5M
@Collector_Crypt - $CARDS - $90.4M
@edgeX_exchange - $EDGE - $86.8M
@aeroxyz - $AERO - $66.8M
@aave - $AAVE - $62.0M
@papertrade_xyz - $PAPER - $58.4M
@Uniswap - $UNI - $57.7M
@JupiterExchange - $JUP - $55.8M
@chainlink - $LINK - $47.5M
@PancakeSwap - $CAKE - $43.1M

@Lighter_xyz - $LIT - $34.6M
@ether_fi - $ETHFI - $33.4M
@ponsdotfamily - $PONS - $28.3M
This is one of the easiest crypto narratives to understand.
You don’t need to decode a whitepaper to see that people are paying to use a product.
The next thing I look at: how much of that revenue flows back to the token.
Here’s how the top 15 changed throughout the year ↓

If you wanted to know all the jobs that AI will produce, look no further than cybersecurity. This is going to become one of the biggest investment areas for enterprises going forward.
And even as the work becomes more agentic and autonomous you will need more talent to point the agents at the most critical work, review findings, patch systems, respond to incidents, and more.
Lots of opportunity right now for the systems that protect data and enterprises, as well as the professionals that are deploying them and protecting organizations.
It’s going to only get more wild out there.
so digital gold then?
Last month, we demonstrated high-rate alchemy: turning mercury into real, stable gold, beating CERN’s record by a factor of 10.
Last week, we enriched isotopes in the world’s most powerful plasma centrifuge, beating the Soviet record that stood for 40 years.
Now, we’re building a fusion reactor in San Francisco to achieve record power density.

I owe $SPCX and @elonmusk a public apology.
I thought the valuation SpaceX was getting was insane. Q3 changed my mind. When I'm wrong I say it, and these numbers were incredible.
$14.6B revenue vs about $12.9B expected
$0.35 EPS
$8.8B adjusted EBITDA, up 306%
$7.6B of Space Intelligence revenue, up 830%. It's now their biggest segment.
Elon is talking about $500B to $1T of ARR by the end of 2027. Even if they only get halfway there, I was wrong on the valuation.
I'm writing a full analysis on @SeekingAlpha and upgrading my sentiment to bullish.
@elonmusk I have an idea. You're giving 1 share of SpaceX to every kid in America next year through Trump Accounts. What if there was a fund where the rest of us could donate shares and try to get your commitment matched? I can't match what you're doing but I'd gladly donate $SPCX shares to a fund that gets them to kids next year.
Who else would chip in?
$SPCX $TSLA

random prediction:
the first app that truly nails social trading across perps + stocks will become one of the biggest social networks in the world
social media has always been about identity + status
facebook = your life
insta = your lifestyle
linkedin = your career
the next layer is simply your capital imo
in an increasingly financialized society like we are rn, your portfolio becoming part of your social identity feels pretty obvious
so i heard
Resting heart is the new thirst trap
It’s the sexiest thing about you
Since 2021 I’ve posted about RHR:
> 207 times
> generating 366,220 likes
> 78.3 million views
> these numbers are X only
Now it’s a mainstream symbol of high status
People will adopt something if it helps them get access to sex, money or power.
Resting heart rate before bed was my first big aha moment in my health quest. I discovered that it was the single number to rule all other numbers.
RHR is the composite number for food, exercise, stress, routine, discipline, nervous systems, mood and more. It’s endlessly useful.
I had to break RHR out of esoteric health and into status and social signaling. RHR needed to represent a person’s youth and vibrancy and signal genetic fitness.
So I hit the topic from more than ten angles:
> masculinity
> cognitive performance
> fertility
> sexual health
> discipline
> will power
> judgement
> health
> peer status
> values
> rebellion against status quo
Others saw the social leverage and started working on their RHR to post. Press started picking it up, putting my name and resting heart rate in the headline.
The science behind a lower resting heart rate is solid. It is a composite health marker of a person’s biological vitality.
If you’re new to resting heart rate, here is a quick guide.
Health is confusing, and overwhelming.
But your heart makes things really easy.
> a low resting heart rate before bed is good
> a high resting heart rate before bed is bad
If my RHR is 41 before bed, a perfect night sleep awaits:
+ asleep in less than five min
+ 4 hr of restorative sleep
+ 0 to 1 wake events
+ awake no more than 20 minutes
That's the 99% percentile sleep performance for an 18 year old. As you age, it's increasingly harder to sleep.
If you’re sleep is good, life is good.
So here is where you can start:
+ finish all food 4 hours before bed
+ screens off 30-60 min before bed
+ finish caffeine around noon
+ avoid blue light, use red and amber instead
+ read a book before bed
+ have a 30-60 min wind down routine including walking, journaling, breath work meditation, talking to friends, a chill hobby, etc.
Do these things and I promise every part of your life will improve.
