While visiting Thanjavur recently, I was super impressed with wide roads and cleanliness of the city. Comparing it to any North Indian city will do an injustice to this city given how congested and dirty the cities in North are. I often wonder how cities in South of India manage to provide basic infra like proper roads, footpaths and cleanliness while cities in North take pride in their congested roads with no effort to improve the condition. Thanjavur is the 12th largest city of Tamil Nadu. It is an old city famous for Bruhadeshwara temple which holds the record for having largest Vimana of any temple. Let me know which is the 12th largest city of your state and how well maintained it is .
