Kubernetes is the scheduler and orchestrator for much of today's AI infrastructure. It's an extraordinary piece of software, but I believe it's fundamentally incapable of optimizing the performance and utilization of large-scale GPU deployments.
That's a big problem for an industry investing hundreds of billions of dollars in AI infrastructure.
I don't think another generation of Kubernetes extensions will fix it. We need a new architecture that preserves what Kubernetes got right but is designed from the ground up for GPUs, training, and inference.

So tired of my AI tools silently changing out from under me. Releasing dev tools with the methodology from consumer web sites should be soundly rejected by the market. I shared some thoughts on the subject.
