That's ^ the kicker. @AmericanAir has eliminated the duty (staff position) to do a sweep of lost and found on weekends. Which just shows how little they care about customer experience. Will be at least 72 hours to get a phone returned 7/?
The @americanair agent said all lost and found is handled by baggage claim. So I went to the Term A Bag Claim (closed) then the Terminal C Office. The agent explained to me that a Lost & Found sweep wasn't done on Saturday or Sunday and would be done "at some point" Monday 6/?
I didn't hear back from @AmericanAir employee. Has been 48 hours now re my claim. So yesterday I went to PHL, booked a refundable ticket to get past security and went to special services by A17. The agent (who was one of the more helpful in this experience) didn't have phone 5/?
I promptly both did that and tracked my iphone w/ a backup contact number on "lost iphone feature". About an hour later I rec'd a text from an @AmericanAir employee that they had my phone and were transferring to special services at A17 - I text back that I had left security 4/?
I awoke very groggy and deplaned and made my way to baggage claim. At BC I realized I left my phone on the plane. I immediately asked staff if they could help. I tracked my phone and appeared to still be on the plane. The "only thing" I could do is to go to @americansair .com 3/?
I have been flying PHL-LAS since July, throughout the Pandemic. This has included an occasional redeye home from LAS, including Friday where I flew LAS-PHL on AA1585 and landed at 645am. I bought a first class (full rev) ticket so I can sleep the entirety of my flight (I did)2/?
Yesterday I rec'd an email from @AmericanAir welcoming me as a Gold Member, it ended "Thank you for flying American Airlines — we're honored to be your airline of choice." - I'm going to give just one example of how that could not be a more inaccurate statement... 1/?
