High AI usage, low AI maturity. Classic PH.
We Don’t Have an AI Problem. We Have a Policy Problem
Most AI policy is written from the top down. AI itself is not.
People are already using it, students, workers, small businesses, and communities. The challenge is no longer adoption. It is whether policy reflects real life.
That is why we chose a bottom-up approach, built on four pillars: Education, Engineering, Enforcement, and Ethics.
Read our report: kas.de/documents/275121/4190…
Education matters because people are using AI faster than they are being taught how it works. Teachers need training. Families need inclusion. Literacy must be practical and shared early.
Engineering reminds us that AI depends on power, data, and connectivity. Without strong foundations, communities stay dependent on systems they do not control. Engineering policy is about building capacity, not just tools.
Enforcement showed us that fear-based rules fail. When laws are slow or overly punitive, AI use simply goes underground. Smart enforcement guides, adapts, and builds trust.
Ethics ties it all together. Ethics is protection. Without it, AI can spread misinformation, deepen inequality, and harm the most vulnerable. Ethics must live inside institutions, not just words.
The message is clear: policy must meet practice.
If AI is being built from the ground up, governance must follow. It is time to finally marry policy with practicality.

Starving the beast (as S says) means breaking this cycle:
Step 1: Politicos use money to buy votes
Step 2: While in power, politicos corrupt the budget to raise money
Non-elected politicos become the intermediaries (e.g. Department Sec/Usecs) for the elected ones.
Many cases, PH is an especially bad case, because little value is left in the system to circulate (e.g. ghost projects)... most have been siphoned out via maleta system

We need to starve the beast, in this case politicians. Reducing taxes will starve the government and force it to be more efficient. The current political structure would never vote to decrease taxes which shows where their incentives are.
Any comment from Ogie on week 2 of $GCASH?
Galing ng promo ng GCash IPO (sa gossip channel pa talaga)! Sa mga "financial advisors", take notes on how they laid out the risks alongside the sales talk. Most only sell the upside. You have to sell the downside too, so your clients can make truly informed investment decisions. @ogiediaz
The root cause of many of our local problems:
Our taxes go to leaky gov't budgets.
Plug that hole and maybe we have a fighting chance.
Easier said than done.
It's midnight but I had to bring this guy up.
Tell me you're out of touch without telling me you're out of touch.
Actually you win bro. Live well in your fantasy rich life. The rest of us have real bills we've been paying.

You have 70k extra money for your other expenses. 149k is just the basic. That covers literally everything even, medical, travel, car lease and your tuition. Tuition is literally the cheapest part of raising a kid. It's just 120k a year. 10k a month. Stop larping.

What larpers.
That list is missing the stuff that actually eats the budget:
- Life and critical illness insurance, plus HMO (one hospital stay will humble you)
- Tuition and school costs (big 3 schools)
- Condo dues and real property tax
- SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG and 13th month for the helper and driver (yes, that’s the law)
- Car insurance, registration, maintenance, parking and tolls
- Support for parents
- Medicine and checkups
- Memorial plan
- Income tax
- Savings and an emergency fund
Sooo... “70k left”. Being comfortable in Manila vs being rich = two very different numbers :D
Sir here tried to school me with calculations for a rich household.
Except: renting a house and cars magically exist before the fact. No medical expenses. No kids.
C'mon guys, make it believable. Actual Filipino family believable. Not IG Tiktoker projects.

Ang serbisyo sa tao dapat makatao!
This whole income thing hit a nerve... I wonder why
Do people hate being called "poor"?
Or they desperately want to be called "rich"?
Honestly, do these things really matter?
Replying to @docligot
The strata isn't the problem. It's the lifestyle expectations - ₱219k isn't infinite money, but calling it poor is insane.
At 220k you're rich? Do the numbers first PIDS.

For the people giving me grief why 220k (household ha) is barely middle class, here are some indicative payments you might be doing:
10M Housing Loan 20 years to pay: 110k/month
3M Car Loan 7 years to pay: 52k/month
Tuition Fee Top University: 50-100k/sem
Major Illness Top Hospital: 90-120k/hospitalization
This doesn't count your weekly groceries, maintenance meds, and property upkeep.
Also remember the gov't docked 30% tax from your income upfront.
If you're married with kids and also taking care of your aging parents, you're pretty much screwed at this income level. Unless you have insurance, or other people to split costs with.
You still wanna be called rich?

Rents coming down?
The bubble popping finally?
Now try how and why.
P30,000 → P12,000 → P5,000? David Leechiu says some Metro Manila studios could hit that price within 12 months. Landlords brace. Renters, take note.

Hey look what thw cat dragged in on Sunday. Calls us "middle classers" then accuses us of privilege?
Well it's X after all...
Wow that survey paints the week.
$GCASH went from meh to disaster.
