New: Iowa Democrat Josh Turek is running a radical Senate campaign ... to the center
- Opposes impeachment
- Supports Laken Riley Act
- Criticizes Dems for blocking Husted data center bill and farm bill
- Ticks off all the ways he can work with Trump
âPolitically, the term moderate can be pejorative. And I say that Iâm proudly a moderate," he says in an interview.
His opponent, Rep. Ashley Hinson, says Turek is "going to be voting with Chuck Schumer 100% of the time." But she too is running toward the center, distancing herself from Trump on Iran, Russia and Vivek ad
Turek: Hinsonâs âmasquerading. I mean thatâs a problem for me. Iâm genuinely a bipartisan person,â he added. âShe has been partisan. ⌠Just be who you are.â
On the throwback race in Iowa, where âThey expect us to represent Iowa interests and not just the interests of whoeverâs president of the United States," according to Chuck Grassley -->

Trump sets the stage to interfere in Minnesota's elections: "Let's all get behind Michele Tafoya in Minnesota. She's running a great race. Don't allow them to play with the Votes after the race is over. The Federal Government will be watching closely. The only way she can lose is if they cheat by playing games with the Ballots as they come in. We can't allow that to happen, because I won Minnesota three times, but they didn't give me the Victories, and Minnesota hasn't been 'won' since 1972, when Richard Nixon claimed the trophy. Michele Tafoya has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be the next Senator from the Great State of Minnesota â She will not let you down! President DONALD J. TRUMP"

Annie Andrews on Trump's recent comments regarding her: "If calling me names will lower our gas prices and our grocery prices and keep our rural hospitals open, he can call me all the names that he wants. But that's not going to get the job done. And comments about taking my medical license away from the man who doesn't know how to pronounce 'acetaminophen.' I'm not going to take that seriously."

This paper answers why confident idiots run the world.
Cornell University published a psychological paper that explains every terrible boss, every loud influencer, and every broken corporate hierarchy.
Itâs called âUnskilled and Unaware of It.â
they tested participants across logic, grammar, and humor to measure the gap between actual performance and self-perception.
And the results are wild.
participants scoring in the bottom 12th percentile consistently believed they were operating in the 62nd percentile.
they were not lying. they were literally incapable of recognizing their own incompetence.
the paper revealed a brutal paradox:
the exact skills required to master a domain are the exact same skills required to accurately evaluate your own competence in that domain.
if you lack the skill, you inherently lack the cognitive capacity to realize you are failing.
this creates a dangerous systemic loop.
the incompetent are blessed with absolute, blinding certainty. their brain protects them from their own ignorance, allowing them to speak first, demand authority, and never second-guess their decisions.
meanwhile, the actual experts suffer the exact inverse.
top performers in the study consistently underestimated their rank. because a task was easy for them, they falsely assumed it was easy for everyone else.
they hesitate. they obsess over nuance. they assume they have nothing unique to add.
we are biologically wired to confuse confidence with competence.
the loudest person in the room gets promoted, gets funded, and gets the microphone, not because they know what they are doing, but because they are physically incapable of seeing what they don't.
the only defense mechanism is building systems that stop rewarding absolute certainty and start demanding proof of work.
