This is the canary in the coal mine, y'all. The AI math doesn't math. Microsoft is offering buyouts for nearly a quarter of it's workforce.
AI adoption for businesses is a 24-month journey in a perfect scenario. They aren't seeing adoption fast enough to offset their CapEx spending... and they aren't alone. Add Anthropic's measly revenue numbers (compared to their CapEx), and hopefully you get the point.
These aren't buyouts because Microsoft found efficiencies with AI, they are buyouts because they (the AI industry) spend trillions (collectively) building the best tools the world has ever seen, and no one knows how to use them. digitalmeld.io/blog/who-is-p…
BREAKING: Microsoft, $MSFT, is offering buyouts to 60,000 workers as part of the company’s efforts to cut costs amid AI adoption, per Bloomberg.
Personnel on select teams in the US, Canada, India, and the UK at a vice president level and below will be eligible.
This reflects ~27% of Microsoft's total workforce.

The fake polling firms Johnson mentions here have both been tied to MAGA grifter and Trump sycophant @RedEaglePatriot. It’s so perfect. He’s saying “don’t trust the polls, the polls are fake,” and his evidence is a Republican pollster lmao
Ingraham: Nate Silver says the polls would have to be really wrong for Republicans to hold the house.
Johnson: The polls are wrong. Let me tell you why. In the last 10 days we had two polling organizations nationwide that have been exposed for completely fraudulent numbers, Wedgewood and SoCal strategies…

I feel like Jared Kushner being at the center of the plot that ultimately led to an American journalist being dismembered via bone saw while he was still alive should be a much bigger deal than our billionaire owned news media is making of it.

Another story impossible to imagine in any other administration: the president's son goes hunting with a Russian criminal who is part of Putin's security entourage
The trip highlights the remarkable relationship between a son of the US president and a tycoon with a criminal record who has close ties to Vladimir Putin’s personal security service. Intelligence experts say such connections are ripe for manipulation. ft.trib.al/p0LBRYI

Eight days until the midterms, and it's been weeks since a republican mentioned anything except trans people, mental hospital hoaxes, or Cheesecake Factory. Messaging this horrendous must be studied.

The Cheesecake Factory stuff is a really good encapsulation of conservative discourse during the Obama era for folks not old enough to have experienced it. Endless whining and mind-loss over something they wouldn’t even notice if someone else said it. Eight years of that!

So Trump’s closing argument is that high gas prices are good because his donors who run oil companies are making bank, Jon Husted has a nice ass but not quite as good as Nicki Minaj’s ass, after 7 months the Reflecting Pool is almost done, and we get a ballroom, arch and helipad.

That American citizens are significantly less likely to receive disaster relief if they live in states that didn't vote for the regime in power should be treated as a major scandal.

1 Not fun-filled fact. The plane that Trump has received as a gift, you know, the Boeing 747-8 luxury jet that’s now his Air Force One, was given to him by Qatar, a country that supports the Muslim Brotherhood. For those of you not following Michigan’s senatorial race, this is

One of the top ten performances in history, and all she does is stand there and sing—no dancers, no nose rings, no wild gimmicks, no auto-tune.
I don’t think the crowd realizes how lucky they are to hear this live.

But it’s over. He’s done, the jig is up. Nobody believes."

Pete Hegseth was thoroughly embarrassed by Senator Tammy Duckworth.
Senator Tammy Duckworth—a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel who lost both her legs while serving in Iraq—pressed Hegseth with a question:
Tammy Duckworth: "I’m glad you brought that up. Can you name even one ASEAN member country and explain what kind of agreement we have with it? And, while you’re at it, do you know how many countries are in ASEAN? Frankly, I’m not even sure you know who our allies are."
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth: "Well, I can’t give you the exact number, but I certainly know who our allies are: South Korea, Japan, and Australia..."
Tammy Duckworth: "None of the countries you just mentioned are members of ASEAN. I suggest you do your homework better before engaging in these kinds of discussions."
The level of incompetence of the person leading the Pentagon—it’s simply unbelievable.

I told you all Trump raped someone in 1993. I kept getting trolled that this ‘didn’t happen’ & I kept telling you I wasn’t talking about the person you thought I was. Well, I told you so.
A report released Monday by Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee on President Donald Trump's ties to Jeffrey Epstein included new details from a woman who alleged Trump raped her in 1993 time-magazine.visitlink.me/X…
