They didn’t start planning this attack on Friday!
This fellow, Asiwaju Kasali Oludlfemi, an @OfficialAPCNg operative, began issuing threats against me since 2025 long before the latest brutal attack on me and members of my team in Ado-Ekiti on Friday, October 30, 2026. As soon as we were attacked, he was openly celebrating the violence unleashed against us.

THE CCTV FOOTAGE FROM THE EKITI ATTACK MUST NOT DISAPPEAR!
The attack on Omoyele Sowore in Ado-Ekiti yesterday must not be treated as an ordinary political disagreement or a mere altercation. The allegations surrounding this incident are extremely serious and demand an independent, transparent investigation.
What makes this situation even more disturbing is that the DSS and the Ekiti State Police Command have taken possession of the CCTV footage from the location where the attack happened.
Why should security agencies be holding on to evidence that could help Nigerians and the international community identify those responsible?
If the attackers were ordinary citizens acting independently, why not release the footage and allow the world to see their faces? Why should CCTV evidence become inaccessible when it is precisely what is needed to establish the truth?
There are serious hands pointing towards the involvement of individuals associated with the so-called City Boys and elements connected to the Ekiti State Government. These must be investigated, not buried. If anybody in government, the security agencies or any political pressure group had a hand in this attack, the CCTV footage could help expose them.
The DSS is not above the law. The police are not above the law. No state government has the constitutional authority to use violence, intimidation or security institutions against political opponents.
We demand the immediate preservation and independent examination of the CCTV footage, the identification of every individual involved, and the prosecution of anyone found culpable, regardless of political connections or government position.
This is bigger than Sowore. It is about the safety of every Nigerian who dares to criticise those in power, challenge injustice or participate in opposition politics.
If the the information are false, let the footage clear everybody's name. If they are true, let the footage expose those responsible.

Omoyele Sowore doesn’t need to wait for an Atiku administration to prove that his ideas deserve to be taken seriously. Give him a clear mandate, the necessary resources, and the freedom to work, then judge him by measurable results.
Nigeria needs a system that rewards ideas over political connections and service over propaganda. Sowore has consistently challenged the system; imagine what Nigerians could learn from seeing his ideas tested in practice.
