Senator Cruz and Governor DeSantis would be more credible as voices of an alternative path forward had they more often found those voices at any point in the last ten years.
Pope Leo XIV drew on his own recent experience of illness and hospitalization after surgery for lung cancer on Friday to make an impassioned appeal for universal access to healthcare, greater social equality and a society that does not measure people's worth by their productivity or wealth. cbsn.ws/4AiB37l

A 1977 @BostonGlobe article documented how large minimum lot requirements restricted housing supply, priced out the middle class, and drove average housing costs up by 8%+.

Saying "no new housing unless it's Affordable housing" is essentially saying screw everyone who earns too much to qualify for subsidized or deed restricted housing but not enough to afford market-rate homes. It’s your teachers, nurses, firefighters, small business owners & more.

Ran into @MARTAtransit CEO Jonathan Hunt on my AM train. In a full suit, he jumped into action to fix a jammed gangway door himself. It’s nice to see a CEO on the train, especially one with a big heart and a lead by example style.

Scott Wiener and Nithya Raman are absolutely in the driver's seat in their races right now. Barring an unexpected development, they will likely win.
Would be an enormous victory for the YIMBY cause.

20+ years ago I read microfilms at the Mansfield Library about Sherrod Brown’s early political career in the 1970s. He’s Mr. Consistent. The same decent and nice person for a very long time. And if I’m remembering the microfilms correctly, a big lifelong fan of Earth Day.
