It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.
To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically.
Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country.
Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case.
Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve.
In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota.
The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

No, Mr. Trump. The American people don’t want you to immediately rename New Mexico to New America.
They want you to immediately end your illegal Iran War that is forcing Americans to pay $4.30 a gallon for gas, $6.30 a gallon for diesel & $6.04 a gallon for heating oil.
Enough.
CAHMS and associated agencies responsible for AON for example are spectacularly bad, and a cause of major stress in affected households where delay to timely evaluation and effe ice care are serious stressors for parents, children and their GPs.

After spending $290 million to elect Trump in 2024, Elon Musk is now spending $369 million to keep Republicans in control of Congress.
Vote NO on Musk, YES for democracy.
Stop Musk and Republicans from maintaining their rubber-stamp Congress for Trump’s disastrous policies.

Essential to have legislators and public representatives who have professional background and experience in essential areas like Agriculture, Healthcare, Education and Finance. Politics is too important to leave it to the pure politicians 🤔?

Good to move beyond just stating this (The What), and how to make it happen.
It’s a failure of Legislation, Justice and Taxation we need to correct (The How) on a massive scale ?

Here's what's going to happen. Trump loses the midterms. He declares massive voting fraud, calls supporters to attack immediately. GOP refuses to accept results. FBI seizes ballots and voting machines within days. Results stall for weeks. Republican officials cancel results in lost districts, order new votes. Protests erupt. Troops deploy under the Insurrection Act. January 3, Congress refuses to seat the Democrats. This isn't prediction. It's pattern. They've already done each of these things.

😡😡😡😡€102 million 😡😡😡❤️❤️
That’s an extraordinary amount of public money being spent on horse and greyhound racing, while animal rescues across Ireland are struggling to survive.💔💔
Those same rescues are taking in the horses and greyhounds who have been discarded, neglected and traumatised. They are paying for veterinary care, rehabilitation, food, shelter and the chance of a second life, often relying on donations and volunteers just to keep going.💔
And yet, our Government continues to put enormous public funding into an industry built around racing and betting.😡😡😡
How can this be right?
While rescues are fighting every single day to repair the damage done to these animals, where is the same commitment to their welfare?
This isn’t just about money. It’s about priorities. It’s about what kind of country we want Ireland to be.
Animals cannot speak for themselves. We have to speak for them.💔💔😡😡😡😡
