The mission of the #RyanWhite program is to provide comprehensive care for ALL people with #HIV. @HIVMA @LambdaLegal @aahivmcomm & @IAPAC went to federal court to fight for the ability of clinicians to provide care for transgender people with HIV. ALL means ALL. @IDSAInfo
This week, Lambda Legal & HIV advocates brought the case for equitable care into the courtroom.

Today, the AMA joined the Vaccine Integrity Project in announcing the completion of an independent, vaccine evidence review process for the 2026–27 respiratory virus season.
The Vaccine Integrity Project conducted a thorough scientific review of RSV, flu, and COVID-19 vaccines — examining the risks and benefits.
The evidence showed that immunizations against these respiratory viruses continue to provide meaningful protection against severe illness, hospitalization and death, with no new safety concerns in comparative studies with currently recommended immunizations.
The evidence reviews helped inform new 2026–27 recommendations released by leading medical societies. The AMA also created new resources to help clinicians and patients put the latest evidence and recommendations into practice.
Now more than ever, the public deserves clear, credible vaccine guidance grounded in the best available evidence and developed through a transparent process.

Please thank your elected officials! Let them know this matters.
IDSA & @HIVMA applaud Congress for its swift, overwhelmingly bipartisan approval of a continuing resolution to fund the government and block OMB from implementing its proposed “Regulation for Federal Financial Assistance” until 12/11.

I want to emphasize that all the information that was shared Monday at the White House should be totally disregarded. It is dangerous. And hopefully parents will understand that was not a responsible sharing of information.

Testosterone is real medicine for men who genuinely can't make enough (Klinefelter, a pituitary problem, cancer treatment). For a man whose level is normal, it's risk with no proven benefit: clots, infertility, breast tissue.

🚨Colleagues in infectious diseases, public health, emergency medicine, global health, and related fields:
Myself, Deb Houry, Anne Schuchat and @Craig_A_Spencer with the support of @IDSAInfo have drafted an open letter to Congress regarding the proposed use of third-country facilities for the quarantine, isolation, or treatment of Americans potentially exposed to or infected with Ebola virus disease.
The letter outlines concerns related to standards of care, access to advanced supportive and critical care, oversight and accountability, patient rights and well-being, and the potential diversion of resources from outbreak response efforts.
We invite you to review the letter and consider signing on by Thursday, 5 PM ET.

5 months into 2026, the US has racked up 1,983 confirmed measles cases. That's nearly 87% as many cases as were recorded in all of 2025.
Most of those cases are locally acquired; only 9 are imported.
Unless vaccination patterns improve, endemic measles is here to stay. cdc.gov/measles/data-researc…
