Today is probably a good time to check in on things with @privy_io, which became part of @stripe just over a year ago.
Our acquisition was predicated on three factors: stablecoin growth, self-custody as a key enabler of broader global coverage, and rapidly increasing demand for programmable financial infrastructure. As we said at the time, "money has to reside somewhere, and Privy builds the world's best programmable vaults."
Since then, the Privy team has executed exceptionally well: assets in Privy wallets have grown ~25x, monthly active developers are up ~3x, revenue is up ~9x, and Privy now facilitates nearly $25B of monthly transaction volume. @tryramp, @Deel, @Klarna, @felixpago, @HyperliquidX, and thousands of other businesses are building embedded banking functionality on Privy.
At Stripe, we're deeply integrating Privy into Treasury, @Link, and Connect. In each case, it's accelerating our global expansion, and enabling us to build better functionality faster. (Coming soon: @Link balances.)
We're also seeing that Privy's wallet infrastructure is the ideal substrate for agents to transact and earn -- live today with @merit_systems, @orthogonal_sh, @Nevermined_ai, @prlnet, and more. Developers prefer programmable financial infrastructure, but agents need it. We expect that the agentic economy will continue to grow extremely quickly.
The Privy team has maintained remarkable product velocity, with major launches this year including deposit addresses, earning on Privy balances, digital asset accounts, custodial wallets, and Stripe's own stablecoin cards.
It's also been neat to see how Privy has been accelerated by Stripe, with better onramps, @stablecoin payment rails and licenses, Stripe's fiat capabilities and issuing stack, and integration with @Tempo.
Together, we're building one API for holding stablecoin balances and earning yield, moving money in and out of fiat, and orchestrating spend with cards. We still have a lot of work to do, not least in integrating everything across Privy, Bridge, and the rest of Stripe -- there's been so much feature and functionality expansion that we haven't yet had much time to reconcile everything. Overall, though, I'm very happy with how things are going, and excited by where these capabilities are headed.
If you're interested in working on the future of stablecoins, agentic payments, and crypto's deployment in the real world, you should get in touch with @sternhenri (now leading all of @StripeCrypto) or others on the team.

First micro-machine out: PrimeSwitch PS-150, a new class of power relay. 200 µΩ on-resistance → 150 A continuous in a 9.5 mm × 3 mm hermetic package. Opens in 50 µs to 1,500 V of true galvanic isolation, ~1,000x faster than a contactor. Zero holding power. Shipping to early-access customers now.

Today the EF and OA announce zkAPI—a new means for private AI
Picture this: deposit ether into a vault, sign a zk proof, get a fixed amount of private inference. Advances like these help us move past middlemen's requirements that we link our data and identities.
Read more below
Quick updates on the Open Anonymity project (@OpenAnonProject)!
1. OA-chat is live! You can now signup: chat.openanonymity.ai
2. We collaborated with @ethereumfndn (@VitalikButerin, @DavideCrapis, @VittoStack, @curryrasul) to develop zkAPI, a new zero-knowledge protocol for accessing gated / paid APIs with unlinkability. It’s like a generalization of OA unlinkable inference that also abstracts payments away. Now also available on OA-chat!
I'm excited because more infrastructure should exist where privacy and sovereignty is foundational and people are in control.

I've seen people describe Jev as an "AI if statement". But what if it actually WAS an if statement?
Introducing Probably: a programming language powered by Jev: probably-lang.southpolesteve…
Jev baked into the language. “feels” asks a question. “match” routes between descriptions. “while” keeps going until something stops feeling true.
This is obviously a toy, but it's fun to think about what something like Jev unlocks. Jev makes the decisions, an LLM does the writing, and a little program ties it together.

We believe that the future is code + AI, so made workflow evals to reflect that
Jev costs: $42 / BILLION input tokens ($0.042 / MTok) and output tokens are free (forever - they’re too cheap to meter with our new architecture)
Jev is named after Jevons paradox and off the intelligence per $ charts
How was this not the norm already… 🤦♂️
Greg Brockman says OpenAI pointed Astra at its own systems until it ran out of vulnerabilities to find:
"We took 25% of our production engineers and said, 'Sorry, all your projects are on hold. You are now defending. You are now up-leveling our security architecture. You're going to use the models to find all the holes.' And we found a number of serious issues, and we fixed them."
"We found some new problems, but eventually it saturated. We basically have found, to our knowledge, all of the P0s, all of the critical problems that Astra is smart enough to find. And of course, there will be a new model, there will be a new round."
"You want to be in this tight loop of new cyber capability drops, you deploy it against your systems, you find the new holes, and ideally, you've managed to automate this, what we call defense factory. That's what we're building internally."
"There are ideas, for example, formally verifying all of software, that are possible with AI."

mildly annoying that all the cloud agent platforms are like “select a repository”
like cmon bro ive had codex rearranging my filesystem without supervision for months its not that simple

It’s rebrand season. Welcome to the new Arena
Today, we're proud to introduce the new colosseum.com.
If you visited our website any time since our launch, you were greeted with an edgy hacker theme, complete with glitchy ASCII graphics and all-caps fonts. The cyberpunk terminal window brought to life.
That was a good fit when we launched Colosseum in early 2024. Crypto was in a smaller corner of the Internet, Solana was ascending from the depths, and we were aiming to attract weird and innovative product ideas.
In many ways, nothing about Colosseum has changed. We're still inspired by the devs, the experiments, and the irreverent founders. But as crypto grows, and our arena with it, we felt our brand was due for an update.
Beyond just the modern hacker, we're also inspired by history. We drew from the great innovative periods and contests of the past which have been featured in our writings and hackathon themes: The Renaissance, the Volta Prize, and the World's Fair.
So we wanted something not completely old, and not completely new, but a little of both. And most of all, we wanted to capture the spirit of competition. After all, Colosseum runs the largest hackathons in the world, where the most ambitious crypto founders compete.
Lastly, a huge thanks to our design partners @AirfoilStudio for all of their hard work. We welcome you to the new Arena, and can't wait to see what you build.

Training tiny models for special purpose use cases works so incredibly well if you have a great self improving recursive flywheel. Shopify ML team is on fire.

On to the next one #starship
This morning’s @SpaceX mission from pad 40 was the last planned Falcon 9 Starlink launch from Florida (and it launched on the fleet leading booster!!), marking the end of an era for these launches on the East Coast. From here on, Starlink missions out of Florida will fly on Starship. The West Coast team will continue regularly launching Starlink from Vandenberg.
Super proud of this incredible team. You’ve made Falcon 9 the most reliable launch vehicle in history. You also helped build the largest low-Earth orbit satellite constellation providing connectivity to millions around the world, and you’ve set the foundation for what’s next.
In the last seven years, Falcon has flown ~260 Starlink missions from the Cape… can’t wait until we launch that and many more with Starship!
