After being diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML), Mark set himself an incredible goal - to run the 2026 London Marathon for Leukaemia Care.
CML is a type of blood cancer that is chronic, meaning it usually develops and progresses more slowly than acute leukaemias. Some people may not notice symptoms at first, while others may experience symptoms such as:
fatigue
night sweats
fever
weight loss
frequent infections
tummy pain / bloating
bruising or bleeding
Mark's journey is a reminder that while a diagnosis can change your life, it doesn't define who you are or what you're capable of.
