I'm trying to fix issues with Raptor: Call of the Shadows (2015 Edition), but the problems go beyond simple bugs. It appears that some text was changed, along with the timing of various things. I don't remember whether I made those changes or Dotemu did.
It also looks like they compiled the 2015 version as a 64-bit application without accounting for potential changes in struct sizes, which could explain why the save files don't work.
ever have multiple vs code projects open but start thinking your one on project but really on another ?
simple answer "per project color coding"

Shout out to the great @echoLogin for the inspiration for the shmup tech demo using the experimental field engine. 'Raptor Call of the Shadows' in 1994 was legendary to me and got me originally into shmups 🚀

Oh yeah, by the way - three of my good old Unreal Engine assets are on SALE now, discount -70%.
And, by "old" I mean those assets are made in UE4, and work properly in UE4 (4.27).
Link, screenshots, videos will be here in thread in replies.
Had AI (sol 6.1)make a tool for Blender, I can go thru all 18 DemonStar levels it shows background so i know the colors so i can set the lighting for each for launch ship to match that levels color theme
then it renders out all 18 ships with proper lighting and a new TOP part
Was taking forever to tweak it old way by hand and going back and forth to Photoshop now its all in Blender
