SAF indiscriminately bombed Abyei and killed over 70 people at a market. A market that so many rely on because the war and environmental conditions have made it near impossible to sustain crops. The loss and traumatization our people continue to be subjected to is so infuriating.

Incredible. Don’t forget on 17th of October, 1961 France killed hundreds (exact number is unknown) of Algerians dressed in their best clothing protesting in the most ‘civilized’ way in Paris. Their bodies were thrown in the river. In addition, 12,000 Algerians were detained by police. This was during the Algerian war of independence.

Fighting in Blue Nile escalated sharply over the past week, with heavy clashes in Al-Kadalo, Al-Roseires province, 50- 60 km from the Roseires Dam, displacing thousands. On October 2-3, battles centred on Minza and Jabal Al-Nimr: the RSF-led Tas'is Alliance claimed control of Al-Kadalo and surrounding areas, while the army's 4th Infantry Division says it repelled the attack, inflicting heavy losses on the RSF and SPLM-N.
