AI push into medicine is getting serious
OpenAI just acquired Orchestra Bio, to combine its drug development agents with Rosalind AI, aiming to accelerate the entire journey from scientific discovery to new medicines reaching patients.
The real AI revolution will be measured in lives saved.

Just wondering how this is going. Have they started looking for a room temperature superconductor yet, or are they busy with other things and planning to get to it later.

Congratulations to Arda and his team on the release of Artios, an open-source BioAI model focused on designing enzymes, the molecular workhorses that power biofactories! Exciting to see AI accelerating synthetic biology!
“Artios combines backbone and sequence models to achieve state-of-the-art performance in enzyme design.”
Today we are excited to release Artios, a fully open source system for designing functional de novo enzymes.
Enzymes present a new frontier for de novo protein design models due to the challenge of coordinating precise chemistry, rather than binding a target.
Enzymes are life’s biological machines and by designing them we can truly start to engineer biology.
We believe these fundamental capabilities should be built in the open and shared with the community to progress science faster.

Elon Musk: Neuralink's Blindsight vision implant is coming soon
"Even if somebody's completely blind, we can write directly to the visual cortex"
The first version will offer low-resolution vision, but the long-term goal goes much further:
"You would have very high resolution and be able to see multispectral wavelengths. You could see in infrared, ultraviolet, radar. It's like a superpower situation"

on spaceX vs Tesla
very crudely:
robotaxi is a bigger opportunity than starlink
but orbital compute is a *much* bigger opportunity than robotaxi
and optimus requires more baking time than orbital compute
and Optimus's success is predicated on access to gobsmacking amounts of superintelligence
On our modeling, compared against the no merger case, even if merged at the current share price ratio Tesla shareholders would be ~1.6x better off in 2031 while SpaceX shareholders would be ~2x better off.
On a longer timeframe (2036) Tesla shareholders would be ~5x better off having merged whereas SpaceX shareholders should be more indifferent ~1.3x better off.
So the fair premium depends heavily on your timeframe. On longer time horizons SpaceX shareholders should be asking for a discount. On shorter time horizons Tesla shareholders should be asking for a premium.
But everyone is better off with a merged entity.
A 30% premium paid on Tesla's share price to day would effectively split the difference on the 2031 time frame; Tesla acquired at a 50% discount would equilibreate return differentials on the 2036 time horizon.

AI will come for every aspect of life.
Digital radiologists, enabling cancer to be detected and treated more quickly. Furthermore, NVIDIA is now increasingly focusing on mobile networks:
„Cuda made its first call.”
Especially the radiologists make me super excited for the future!

Elon Musk on Optimus:
"We've started early production. The growth of Optimus is an S curve, but the initial curve is a shallow slope. We have the vast majority of the 1 million unit/year line installed at Fremont. There's still some things we need to tweak about the design. There's still quite a lot of work to do with the AI in the robot. I would expect that the AI, the electromechanical design, reliability, usage life, expect these issues to be solved by the end of next year. I remain convinced Optimus will be the biggest product on Earth. I do want to temper expectations that we still have a lot to get through, it will take about a year to get through that."

An urgent notice from the Railway team

towards acceleration of drug development, an extremely exciting and promising emerging application of our models
We’ve acquired Orchestra Bio, a platform that helps biopharma teams coordinate the complex process of drug development.
Together, we’ll build on Rosalind, our AI models and tools for life sciences research, to streamline those operations and help new treatments reach patients sooner.
Welcome @ashokaraj_ and team!

We need to increase what people can afford, help them participate in the wealth being created, and preserve their confidence during this global technological transition.
Wait a minute. Has nobody considered what Anthropic launching Claude Duet means for Grok Bot?
Grok Bot is rolling out Claude Opus 5.5 as its underlying reasoning model. This was a great move by SpaceXai
But…Anthropic just announced Duet, a first-party agent built around that same model, with native memory, skills, connectors, and its own execution environment.
Why would I use Opus 5.5 through Grok Bot when I could use Anthropic’s own agent harness, which I’d expect to be better optimized for its models?
Is this a “I don’t wanna play with you anymore situation”?

Honestly, cooking and cleaning robots impress me way more. That's what will change daily life.
But I can't deny this is impressive. Skills will generalize. The same robot that cooks your breakfast will be able to do this.

AGI is already achieved recently. What Demis means is really superintelligence (SI), which fits perfectly with his definition of AGI. His earlier predictions a year ago or so were about 5-10 years, then 3-5, now 2-3. I made similar adjustments & my prediction for SI is 1 year now
