On CNBCโs Squawk Box, Manchin was asked if he was comfortable with El-Sayed becoming a senator and immediately answered โNo.โ He then made his preference clear: โI do support Mike Rogers. I think Mike Rogers is a good person. I think heโll do a great job, and heโs a personal friend.โ
His public rejection of El-Sayed and support for Rogers is drawing attention in one of the most competitive Senate races in the country.

In my 35 years as an Air Traffic Controller, I have heard countless radio transmissions, including emergency calls. But listening to the recording of the Mayday call from this tragic flight in Florida was one of the most painful and heartbreaking moments I have ever experienced.
Behind every Mayday call is a human being fighting for survival, a voice desperately hoping to make it home.
As Air Traffic Controllers, we are trained to remain calm, focused, and professional during emergencies. But beneath our headsets and behind our radar screens, we are human too. And sometimes, a voice over the frequency touches our hearts in ways that words cannot describe.
Today, my heart is heavy.
My deepest condolences to the families, loved ones, and everyone affected by this tragedy.
May all those who lost their lives rest in eternal peace. ๐๏ธ

Weather reports indicate a "once in a thousand years storm," with 17 inches of rain in 6 hours, hammered the Palm Beach area yesterday.
It wasn't about "DEI," it wasn't about gender, and it wasn't about a lack of experience.
It was a freak storm and a complete tragedy of circumstances. ๐
