Personally, if there was ever a team that truly embodied the Champions League experience…. the intimidating anthem, the perfect stadium atmosphere, and that aura of European royalty…. I think it was AC Milan’s 2005 team.
On my way to Hotel de la paix to watch this match. Bolton at Reebok were always a handful. By the time I arrived we were already 2-0 up! Good old days.
#OTD in 2006 - 20 years ago today, maybe the first great performance of Fergie’s last great team: Wayne Rooney scores a devastating hat-trick as United win 4-0 against Bolton at the Reebok 🔥
Just to illustrate a Nigerian problem: Lagos had a population of 3m here. Today, it is estimated at around 30m. Yet, we continue to struggle with the urban infrastructure & development needed to keep pace with that explosive population growth. That is where we always fall short.

Knew United players were gonna down tools once Carrick rolled out the red carpet for a player who couldn't be arsed to train properly & who spoke derogatorily about United on loan. You can't ask players to be committed & work hard while gladly welcoming Rashford.Consequences.
Why can’t we just accept that Bruno deserved to be rested today? He has looked tired and frustrated before now. So it was the right call to rest him.
He doesn’t have to be “the problem” before he is rested

Till tomorrow Marcus Rashford never apologized to the fans for disrespecting the badge and everything the club stands for. #noticing
🚨 BREAKING: Julián Álvarez apologises to Atlético Madrid fans. 🙏🏼
“I wanted to apologize to our fans for my words during the World Cup. They were a mistake. Both the way I said them and the timing”, told Movistar.
“Especially because I understand why the fans were angry. I would have been angry too if I were a fan”.
“Even more so considering how much they’ve supported me. They’ve been very generous, and I really appreciate that. I also want to thank the team because they’ve supported me throughout this time”.
“I’m gradually feeling better. I’m grateful to all my teammates because they’ve supported me. I’m working to improve. I’ve been feeling better in the last few matches, both physically and on the ball. I want to help the team and give my best”.
“When you’re feeling good in life, it shows on the pitch. Even though we’re professionals, everything has an influence. I feel good and ready to compete for everything”.
“Hopefully, through hard work and humility, I can turn this situation around”.
