NEW: Education Minister Paul Calandra tells me he's "very excited" to have Stan Cho on his team, and that the "quality of his work since he's been an MPP is literally second to none."
Premier Ford announced Cho will be joining Calandra’s team as a parliamentary assistant — just three months after Cho resigned from cabinet for charging taxpayers $16,000 in Toronto hotel stays.
The new role comes with a $22,500 pay bump. Ford declined to comment. Story: thetrillium.ca/insider-news/…
ford is going to ride the anti-incumbent wave to get a bunch of right-wing mayors and councillors in his pocket across the province and then he’s going to re-introduce MPAC assessments which will allow municipalities to bring the tax ~rates ~down and give them a narrative win
Replying to @robgillezeau
Oh, and if you really want a short run tax cut that will be paid for in a couple of years be honest about it. Cutting tax rates today and changing nothing else? Folks deserve to know that means their tax rates in 2-3 years will be higher than they otherwise would have been.
budgets outside of austerity, programming cuts and capital deferral will not go down, but if the story is that the rate has, that will be the headline - exactly how the increase is now, without discussing the MPAC freeze
I’ve seen Erin O’Toole around running and it’s interesting he says he notices decline in the city because I’m fairly certain he lives in the Beach - Bradford’s ward - all these right-wing weirdos acting like city council is an authoritarian dictatorship lol
Replying to @erinotoole
We moved back to an area we lived in 20 years ago & love being back. The decline in many parts of the city has been our biggest surprise. Toronto needs someone serious to bring positive change to a world-class city. Olivia cannot do that. Brad can. Vote accordingly. 4/4
The flip-flopping lack of trust is barely negative - it’s a reality based description of Bradford’s own record - so much so that Bradford’s literal current spokesperson was using the language before she got cut a cheque to join the team lol
Cut to: benefits of coastal pipeline
toronto politics are so frustrating for many reasons but in part b/c people from fucking oakville or w/e insert themselves into the convo to insist that the city is so scary and so dangerous b/c the two times they’re here per month they see a homeless person
Major loss for gaming as a foundational studio - and for Canada as BioWare was founded and headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta

Bradford's team spent the last 6 months promising he's not really a Conservative, and then he comes out and just says it on the radio.

In Canada, the weather can be a state secret, for national security reasons (to protect the military from embarrassment).
This is what we’re up against trying to report on the CFB Wainwright tragedy.
On October 18, I asked Environment Canada for the original wind-warning bulletins for the region, to make sure I hadn’t missed any and because several had since been archived online.
I also asked for the timestamped XML files — or directions on how to access them myself.
I wasn’t asking about the fire. I wasn’t asking for anything new. I was trying to retrieve historical weather warnings and records, most of which were already publicly available.
This was their response.
It took them two full working days to send this.

is trump trying to come out or like
Trump on Jon Husted: "I'm studying his body. I've never studied the body of a man before. It's not my thing. Nothing wrong with it, of course. But it's never been my thing. But I looked at his ass. I said, 'His ass, shit, it's like a pile of muscle.' Then I looked at his legs and I said, 'Man, his feet are big.'"

Toronto Chinatown Land Trust is buying a mixed-use building in Huron Square — its first ever purchase as part of its mission to remove properties from the private market and keep them affordable under community ownership.

I’m actually not if someone would send me $1000 so I can justify buying a switch two and this game then I would be ready
Bradford leads among people who answer their cell phones in 2026 to robo polling
