Today we’re introducing Really, an infra policy language that doesn’t suck.
Writing and reading policy-as-code today is complex, and I’d love your thoughts! Give it a read and let me know what you think. 🧵

Unlikely that I'll have a chance to play it, but I'm preordering @princeofpersia for Farsi language dubbing alone. It's something we need more of.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will be dubbed in English, French, German, Spanish and Farsi.
Here's a sneak preview! What language will you be playing in? #PrinceOfPersia #videogames #gaming
Ok but it would be wild if a nation-state engineered an infectious virus or bacteria containing junk code that, when sequenced after a slew of infections,
1. exploits RCE vulns in common sequencing tools,
2. calls out to a C2 fronting a LLM, and
3. fetches a bespoke payload.

This was a really fun interview! @dksf is a great interviewer. We covered all kinds of topics from work we did at Netflix, EM philosophy, some finer points of Netflix culture, and what we're doing at @Resourcely. Check it out!
E4: Travis McPeak - Resourcely - How building cloud security at Netflix informed his startup's focus
Figure out where you fit in a startup's journey: are you a Pioneer, Settler, or Town Planner?
In this conversation we learn about how the technology and culture at Netflix shaped @travismcpeak's approach to building a security startup. We learn about the “Lemur” tools he built, the “paved roads” philosophy to simplify AppSec, and the surprising alliances across competitors such as Facebook, Apple, and Google to collaborate on playing defense to cybersecurity threats.
We also discuss the "Informed Captain" principle at Netflix. This principle empowers the person closest to a problem to make the decisions efficiently. He's adopted this same principle for decision making at @Resourcely.
We also cover the following:
- The roles in a startup's journey: Are you a Pioneer, Settler, or Town Planner?
- Netflix's mantra: "We're a sports team, not a family." It's all about the game, not just the time spent on the field.
- Travis’s advice to new technical founders: restrain your instinct to start by writing code and instead spend your time learning from prospective customers.
- The “Build vs. Buy” dilemma: how do organizations decide to build solutions rather than to buy an existing one?
- Travis is building a culture of entrepreneurship at Resourcely designed to nurture teammates into the next generation of great founders.
Travis and Resourcely are backed by @zanelackey at @a16z and @jakestorm_ at @felicis.
Today had its ups and downs, but this message in my DMs absolutely helped everything end on a positive note.
If someone helped you out, doesn't really matter how long ago, just let them know. It'll always be meaningful.
Interesting non-spoilery tidbit from #TheFlash: in the Tim Burton timeline, the USSR never dissolved.
It's never specifically spoken to, but there's visual evidence I can't reference without spoiling the film. Still, fitting touch considering Batman came out in '89.
The most impactful paper on my diet was this one in re: Erythritol and amplified blood platelet aggregation.

Even though I've been on keto since Jan 1 (with all sweeteners prohibited as well), I'm sticking to the sweetener block post-keto too.
It's an actual travesty that #FastX and #SuperMarioMovie both rated in the mid 50s on @RottenTomatoes.
The only things FastX had going for it were Jason Momoa and John Cena.
.@capitalweather did we have particularly... particulated air today? As observed from Ashburn.
InfoSec twitter: Anyone else learn through experience that Gartner calls should be ignored? I spent an hour in the last week getting pitched on technology that functionally does nothing to buy down risk other than put an extra automation barrier in an attacker's way.
This should immediately spur an investigation by the @USEEOC into all three companies listed. There's no way a staff aug firm takes that down as a hiring requirement without the expressed desires of the client.
No one spoke up at any point in the conversation? They're all guilty
The best thing to have happened to both Twitter and Instagram was the democratization of verified badges. Rare credit to Elon, though not for why he thinks.
Rather, because people realize that you don't have to live and die by a little blue checkmark as a life achievement.
THE RIDDLER
Welcome, Batman and Robin! I've concocted a little challenge for you two!
THE RIDDLER reveals a vat filled with a thick, green liquid. A sign above the vat reads "GOTHAM'S STINKIEST SURPRISE."
BATMAN
(squinting)
Riddler, what is this madness?
