This is widespread, make a complaint and a safeguarding referral is put in, it’s happening to black mothers, it’s happening to disabled families, it’s happening to autistic woman, its happened when public inquiries are going on and it’s used to silence victims
In years to come I have no doubt that malicious safeguarding referrals used to bury negligence will be like the #forcedadoption scandal, the #postoffice scandal the #groominggang scandal
#carers and Joe Public do not receive any #whistleblowing protection
Many can’t get legal aid, or only get it when a significant threshold has been met …. Meanwhile public bodies have lawyers in house or seemingly endless funds available

The continued use of restrictive practices as disciplinary sanctions on SEND children is unacceptable. The burden of communicating an unmet need, distress, or a system failing to listen is placed on the child. We must move from control to care.

2/2 All the runners just stopped. Nothing contrived. No request from teachers. They walked back and walked with that child. And so they all crossed the line together. So many of us parents cried that day on that field. Proud and Hopeful. Human to human
