StudioCanal offered me a trio of classic horror 4Ks and gosh, they have so many amazing titles, I was spoilt for choice! As I already have their awesome John Carpenter titles, and tons more besides, I picked Fede Alvarez's 2013 Evil Remake remake, which is blood fresh but respectful of the original, also a brand new restoration of Peeping Tom, Michael Powell's disturbing serial killer thriller, and Nic Roeg's Don't Look Now, which has been on my watch list for decades, but I admit I've never seen. Time to make up for that oversight, now! Are there any classic horror films you've been meaning to watch for years, but never have? Let's plug those gaps this Halloween! #Steelbook #Horror #Ad #HallUHDween

They should impeach Trump just for this. Disgusting.
Alex Pretti's father: Our son was shot and killed by the government, federal immigration agents, on January 24th, 2026. We learned about his death from the media as we saw him being shot repeatedly in the back after helping a woman from his community. This was not a protest that Alex was at. His hands were in the air, and his face was on the ground when he was executed by ICE agents. We know exactly what our eyes saw. No one from the federal government called us on that day. But they did go on TV to tell lies about Alex. No one has called us since. No one has recanted those lies.

"Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody goes bankrupt there because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because their insurance said no."
This Australian's reply to Trump's rant about “NATO not being there for America” is perfect. "Mate. You run a country with 600,000 homeless people sleeping on the street tonight. A country where 40% of adults can't cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money. A country where insulin costs more than a car payment and people are rationing it to survive. A country where medical debt is the number 1 cause of bankruptcy. A country where women are dying in hospital car parks because doctors are too scared of abortion laws to treat a miscarriage. You lock up more of your own citizens than any nation on earth. More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea. The land of the free has 2 million people in cages, and a quarter of them haven't even been convicted of anything. They're just too poor to make bail. Your life expectancy is going backwards. You're the only developed nation where that's happening. Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba's. Your kids do active shooter drills between maths and English while you sell the gunmaker's stock to your mates. Your minimum wage hasn't moved in 15 years. You've got teachers working 2 jobs and veterans sleeping under bridges and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that didn't attack you. And you’ve got a convicted felon, adjudicating raping, paedophile protecting, porn star shagging insurrectionist running the biggest dumpster fire war campaign since the Taliban in Afghanistan thanked you very much for losing again. And you're calling Greenland poorly run? Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody goes bankrupt there because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because their insurance said no. 'NATO wasn't there when we needed them." When exactly was that, champ? September 11? Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU. Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU. Australia wasn't even in NATO and we still showed up. For 20 years. And you pulled out at 2am without telling anyone and left them to deal with the mess. So maybe before you start calling other countries poorly run, have a look at your own backyard, you spray-tanned aluminium siding salesman. The only thing poorly run in this picture is your f----- mouth." Credit to: Jim Keller

Jason Bourne and The Professor in THE BOURNE IDENTITY are two assassins staring at the same nightmare from opposite sides. “Look at what they make you give.” Clive Owen gets barely a few minutes, yet that line makes the entire confrontation heartbreaking.

Exactly what we need in the absence of a functioning U.S. Department of Justice. An organization of ex-prosecutors and investigators who help can put cases together for current and future prosecutors who will restore accountability for corrupt federal officials and those who benefit from that corruption.
We are facing a crisis of impunity. That's why we built The Rule of Law Project — to investigate unlawful conduct by federal officials, and work with state and local prosecutors to hold them to account. Watch former DOJ prosecutor Mark Blumberg and human rights leader Brad Adams launch this critical accountability initiative on MSNOW with Nicolle Wallace.

(1/4) The cost of the Iran War won't end when the conflict does. Linda Bilmes at Harvard points out that spending on a war's veterans tends to peak 30 to 40 years after the conflict ends. For this one, that could mean around 2060.

Every Texas bar has that one guy. He’s loud. He’s obnoxious. He makes all the women feel uncomfortable. He adds his drink to your tab when you’re not looking. That’s Ken Paxton — and I don’t know about y’all, but I’m done picking up his tab.

President Biden at the Philly airport. I said “love you Joe!” and he waved me over, shook my hand, and asked my name. He said “I love you too, Dan.” I’m tearing up a bit.

James Talarico on data centers: “They need to pay for their own energy, recycle their water, produce good-paying union jobs, and they’ve gotta get the input and the consent from the people who live in these communities. If they can’t do those things, they shouldn’t be built. Period. Full stop. Ken Paxton has taken more than half a million dollars from the data center industry”

Leaving Las Vegas couldn’t afford filming permits to shut down streets or casinos, so they filmed Nic Cage and Elisabeth Shue around real, unsuspecting tourists, using hidden cameras. To avoid promoting alcoholism, a beer company actually paid the production not to show its brand
