we've seen cancer cells turn back to normal cells, a cure for pancreatic cancer, cancer might be a parasite, a cure for HPV, alzheimer's might be type 3 diabetes - all in the last week
bullish on a longterm illness-free world, we're going to have so much time for activities

🚨BREAKING: Blood cancer can now be completely treated, thanks to Vietnam medical team!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
**Misleading:** Vietnamese teams achieved remission in specific pediatric leukemia cases using CAR-T therapy—not a universal cure for all blood cancers. Treatment applies only to certain relapsed cases, requires ongoing monitoring, and is costly with significant risks. vinmec.com/eng/blog/the-f…

"the guy who made Yu-Gi-Oh died a hero" is one of those facts that still fucks me up. hard to have a better legacy than that
In 2022, Kazuki Takahashi — the creator of Yu-Gi-Oh! — drowned off the coast of Okinawa while trying to save a woman, her child, and a U.S. soldier who were trapped in a violent rip current.
Witnesses watched him jump into six-foot waves and swim toward the struggling swimmers as the water twisted into a whirlpool. The soldier ultimately pulled the victims to safety, but Takahashi was overtaken by the current and vanished beneath the surf.
His body was found two days later still in snorkeling gear, and investigators confirmed he died during the rescue attempt.

If you think about it, plastic is such an Ahrimanic material because it's made of ancient dead matter and flesh that has been brewing inside the crucible of earth and is discovered by humans after thousands of years, used in order to create "unnatural" objects. Only to end up infecting us slowly, reducing fertility and causing heath issues. Even the way it behaves when heated looks demonic tbh... as if it's returning to hell...

Even stranger is that when the tomato did arrive in italy in the 16th century, it was met with total suspicion. botanists correctly identified it as a member of the nightshade family, alongside toxic plants like belladonna and mandrake. for almost 200 years, it was used almost exclusively as an ornamental garden plant (called pomo d’oro, or golden apple) and widely considered poisonous. this staple of italian cuisine was first a toxic curiosity.

I’ve been workshopping this concept called “high-intervention friendship” based on nick’s observation that your IQ is 20 pts higher for other people than for yourself. like actually we Should be telling our friends what to do, or at the very least, what to Definitely Not to do
