Israel is developing space-based laser systems for attacks above Earth, per Defense Minister Katz in June 2026. A later multiyear plan also covers weapons able to strike targets on Earth from space. These are announced goals and budgeted R&D efforts, not operational systems. No evidence exists of a deployed orbital laser with global targeting capability.
