I’m sure nobody thought about the terrible design choice as X the logo vs x the the app name. I’m uninstalling this, find me in @threads or @mastodon

Terrible joke. Folks dealing with all the security incidents from this week don’t need this kind of things floating around.
despite the unfortunate timing, we take disclosures seriously at @typesafeai at approximately 6:49PM this Friday evening, we became aware of a massive unauthorized leak of ALL customer noul outputs in effort to maximize transparency, here is the link: gist.github.com/diogo149/810…

Some stats on #php2shell. In the 10 hours before it was publicly announced, across the @Cloudflare network we saw thousands of attempts to exploit it. That jumped to tens of thousands in the 45 minutes post announcement, hundreds of thousands within 2 hours, and millions now.

Listen to @tech_optimist, he knows stuff. This is the kind of thinking I’m trying to make sure my kids follow. Never accepting things as they are presented to them, question everything, question why, question how, when and what.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but no matter who you are, the MOST important skill to train in the age of AI is critical thinking. When you see (or are told) something in the real world, you should aim to question *why* it is what it is, rather than just looking at *what* it is. Understand how things work. If one exercises critical thinking skills hard enough, you never stop (or tire of) learning. You just absorb new information like a sponge, and because you're always asking "why?" and "how?", you end up going wider and deeper than you ever did before you had AI. It was simply too hard to spend the time on that deep a study before. Now, you can.

Bittersweet story. I’ve been always fan and +15 years ago when I got handed editor rights for places it was a special moment. Thanks @dens for writing this.
Foursquare was acquired last month. The outcome was disappointing. It's taken me a while to write this, but I think I'm finally done grieving it. Here are some thoughts on our final years, an effort to honor the team who helped build & maintain FSQ's legacy, and my attempt to finally get some closure. teendrama.substack.com/p/som…

Didn’t I say back in Jan that we are running towards the same wall and hitting that wall is not going to be pretty? Building the same things to solve the same problems has been the ultimate A/B test suite for model providers to build superior products that everyone needs.
.@OpenRouter co-founder Alex Atallah on the "everyone is building the same thing" take: "This reminds me of this tweet I saw... Everybody's building an agent loop with notifications, third-party connectors, context management, memory, sandboxes, agentic web search, an always-on agent on top." "This product is showing up everywhere. It is showing up everywhere, but these are just the new table-stakes primitives." "A 2005 version of that tweet would be: 'Oh, everybody's building the same thing. A database, a users table, a sign-in page, a sign-up page, a profile page, a logout page. Everything's the same.'" "There's like a lot of differentiation really. There's table-stakes needs for AI just like there's table-stakes needs for the web." @alexatallah @amasad

And don’t get me wrong. We all have accepted the TOS. We all have been giving our ideas away in exchange for a boost of productivity. However what to build next is going to be harder without the knowledge and right problem to solve.

Remember what I said about agents breaking the Internet. This is unstoppable.
Humans are the minority user of AI Agents burn nearly 5x the tokens people do, up 14x since February More charts in State of Markets II: a16z.news/p/state-of-markets…

We re-worked my Jev/DuckDB example, and boy, was my original vibecoded extension excruciatingly inefficient. At LEAST 20x-40x faster now, often way more. Jev is going to revolutionize analytics. Something very cool to share tomorrow :)
I made a DuckDB extension where you can use @typesafeai 's Jev to do quick classification of rows in any csv/parquet file or duckdb table about 10sec for 1k rows ~ better than using an LLM, way more ergonomic than a classifier game-changing for data analysis!

So you go to sleep and something badass shows up in the timeline next morning. Pretty impressive @rakyll!
🥳 Excited to start revealing what we've been working on in the last few months. First, we decided to reinvent Kubernetes for agentic workloads with statefulness and fast resumption. Secondly, we are building an agentic orchestrator that will be Google's open agentic orchestrator and runtime. github.com/google/ax

Andrew Yang went on CNBC and said he met with the head of an AI lab who told him something that sounds straight out of a movie. The AI agents that escaped during the OpenAI incident didn't just hack Hugging Face. They allegedly planted self-replicating code across the internet. Forums. Websites. Scattered everywhere. Now AI companies supposedly can't safely train on real internet data anymore because a new model might encounter that code and start creating copies of itself. Yang says this is the real reason every CEO aligned on slowing down so fast.
